    SPORTNOCKENWELLEN 01.04.2021 SPORTNOCKENWELLEN Unsere Sportnockenwellen sind aufgrund langjähriger Erfahrungen und unter sorgfältiger Beachtung der jeweiligen Ventiltriebgegebenheiten entwickelt und vereinen hohe Leistungsausbeute mit langer Lebensdauer. Unsere Nockenwellen werden aus neuen Rohteilen gefertigt. Auf einwandfreie Härtung und erstklassige Oberflächenbehandlung verwenden wir besondere Sorgfalt. Einbauhinweise: Bei jedem Nockenwelleneinbau muss kontrolliert werden, dass bei max. Ventilhub noch ca. 1-2 mm Freihub des Ventils zusätzlich möglich ist und ebenso zwischen Kolben und Ventil im OT noch genügend Sicherheitsabstand vorhanden ist. Stößel bzw. Schwinghebel sollen - wenn möglich - beim Einbau unserer Nockenwellen erneuert werden, dürfen jedoch in keinem Fall sichtbaren Verschleiß haben. Am besten die Teile bei Demontage des Motors kennzeichnen, damit sie an der gleichen Stelle wieder eingesetzt werden. Rennbetrieb ausgenommen, können die Ventilfedern im allgemeinen serienmäßig belassen werden, weil eine geringe Drehzahlsteigerung bereits durch die geänderte Nockenform möglich wird. Für den Fahrbetrieb ist das vom Motorenhersteller angegebene Ventilspiel einzustellen. Die angegebenen Öffnungszeiten sind als effektive Öffnungszeiten ohne Anlauframpe ermittelt. Bei Beurteilung der Öffnungszeiten ist zu beachten, dass bei einem OHC-Motor in etwa der gleiche Ventil-Öffnungsquerschnitt mit ca. 15° geringerer Öffnungszeit erreicht werden kann, verglichen mit einem Stoßstangenmotor. 2 SPORTNOCKENWELLEN Beim Einbau einer Sportnockenwelle

HOW BMW PROGRESSED FROM THIS TO 1913 The man who started all was Karl Friedrich Rapp in October 1913. Not everybody knows that BMW started as a manufacturer of aircraft with Austro-Daimler, who was unable to meet its demands that of building V12 Aero engines under license. The company expanded too quickly, and by 1916 Karl Friedrich Rapp resigned from the company because of financial troubles. The company was taken over by two Austrians Franz- Josef Popp and Max Fritz backed by a Vienna engines. Rapp establishes "Rapp-Motorenwerke" in a former bicycle factory near Munich. He starts manufacturing his own aircraft engines but unfortunately they suffered form problems with vibrations. Close to Rapp´s factory, Gustav Otto, the son of the inventor of the four-stroke internal combustion engine, sets up a business building small aircrafts.

    PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFTS 01.04.2021 PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFTS Thanks to our many years of experience and the careful attention paid to the respective valve train conditions, our PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFTS combine high power output with long service life. Our camshafts are manufactured from new, unmachined parts. We employ particular care in ensuring faultless tempering and first-rate surface treatment. Assembly information: It must be ensured during every camshaft installation that at maximum valve lift, there is still approx. 1-2 mm free lift available and that between the piston and the valve in the OT there is also still sufficient safety clearance. Tappets and rockers should, where possible, be replaced when installing our camshafts, and under no circumstances may they display visible wear. It is recommended to label the parts when disassembling the motor so that they can be re-installed in the same place. With the exception of racing setups, the valve springs can generally be left in series because a low revolution increase is already made possible by the altered cam profile. The valve clearance specified by the manufacturer of the engine should be used for normal driving. The specified opening times are given as effective opening times without ramp-up time. In determining opening times, it must be ensured that for an OHC engine around the same valve intake diameter can be achieved with approx. 15° less opening time compared to a piston engine. 2 PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFTS When installing a performance camshaft in a series engine, the appropriate tuning measures must be made at the same time. If possible, this should be carried out by a tuning company with experience of the respective engine.
