Thank you for your interest in our products for older BMW motorcycles. This is our latest edition of an English version of our catalog, we hope this edition will help you locate your parts more easily. Parts descriptions are translated in English language. We apologize for mistakes forehand. A note to owners of BMW motorcycles built after 1969: We stock nearly all spare parts for these models and we have a catalog for them exclusively. All catalogs are available for download from our web-site as zipped .pdf files. All software tools to unzip and read them are free and readily available. In this catalog you’ll see each part category preceded by a diagram. By cross-refering a part description with the picture in the diagram, we hope to eliminate misunderstandings and incorrect part orders. The diagrams and listings also show that we do indeed keep all parts for old BMWs in stock and ready for shipment. Please notice that we offer many used parts. We do not sell junk—rather good, useable parts. For example, if you order a used crankcase breather for a R60/6, the part you receive will in no way be inferior to a new factory part. The price of a used part is generally half the price of the new part. Exceptions to this are rare parts that are no longer available. We are a customer-oriented company. If you have technical questions regarding your BMW we are happy to answer them. We have been riding, servicing and selling old BMWs for years—we are experts regarding what we sell. We answer all inquiries in the order they are received and as soon as possible. Suggestions are always welcome! Terms and Conditions The shipping-cost will be charged according to the conditions displayed in a list you will find on our website under www.ulismotorradladen.de or in conjunction with an online-order you place. The forwarder and the shipping-method we will determin for you, depending on the nature of the goods you buy. All shipments however are insured against loss. The payment-method „COD cost on delivery“ will result in an extra fee (see shipping-cost list). Online-orders include the shipping-cost and all additions and will be processed when you confirm the order. Please notice: Every order will result in shipping-cost, no matter if you order few or many items. No shipment will be transport-fee free. The shipping-cost includes the german VAT in any case, which is no error. The average runtime within Germany is 1-5 labourdays. The average runtime in foreign countries varies from 5-60 labourdays, depending on the destination. Due to specific conditions in the land of the distination (holidays, weather-conditions, legal conditions) delays can occur and cannot be influenced by Uli´s.. newsletter bmwor.org.nz october 2016 2 | bmwor newsletter | october 2016 President's Podium Winter is not quite done with us after all. After after a day of snow, hail, heavy rain and massive winds that brought down power lines in many parts of the country, I’m hoping spring will firmly re-establish its grasp in the next few days. Great to see so many people turn out at Avon City Motorcycles for our local “100 Years of BMW” celebration. Area Rep Jo did a fabulous job organising fresh baked pretzels, apple strudel, bmwor.org.nz bratwurst sausages and sauerkraut - the BBQ was going non-stop! There was plenty of interest in the line up of performance Send editorial copy to: machines; an R90S, an HP4 and a K1 each provoking much discussion. My thanks go The Editor to members who helped out and for making the bikes available and to Scott, Ross and 27 Omapere Road Eliot from Avon City for the endless supply of coffee and much good natured banter Kaikohe 0405 throughout the day. [email protected] Our first area ride the following day took us out to the Iron Ridge Quarry sculpture park in Amberley. Everyone made their own way, a gaggle of GS bikes taking a roundabout All other correspondence to: gravel option via Pyramid Valley, with a turnout of over 20 bikes – brilliant! June 8, 2020 2020 Vintage Motorcycle Days postponed In accordance with "Responsible RestartOhio" guidelines for holding public events in the Buckeye State in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the AMA and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course have postponed 2020 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. Held at Mid-Ohio in Lexington, Ohio for the past 24 years, the annual celebration of America's motorcycling heritage was scheduled to take place July 10-12. New dates for the event later in 2020 have not been finalized. Learn about the 'Lords of the Board Track' raffle bike "What if there were still a board-track racing class?" That was the question that motivated custom motorcycle builder Kevin Dunworth when he designed and built the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame's "Lords of the Board Track" raffle bike. This stunning machine started life as a 2003 Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Edition Sportster XL 883 Custom and now offers a powerful combination of early 20th-century styling and modern air-cooled V-twin performance. Follow the link for a chance to win this unique bike, and read more about its creation in the July edition of American Motorcyclist magazine. From the Archives Here's a photo of AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Joe Petrali aboard the Harley-Davidson streamliner on which he set an AMA land speed record. Petrali posted a two-way average speed of 136.183 mph on the sandy shores of Daytona Beach, Fla., on March 13, 1937. The streamliner featured a 61-cubic-inch, overhead-valve engine. Read more about Petrali at the Hall of Fame website.

  • Sportnockenwellen

  • BMW History BMW in the 1910S - the Beginning
BMW history BMW in the 1910s - the beginning To better understand BMW today you have to know and understand BMW history. The last century gives the “flavor” of today’s BMW cars, the ingredient that makes them so special. This “special” can be almost seen as the soul of a person. BMW cars have an unmistakably personality and an obsessive care about the feeling of driving, thus their slogan "the ultimate driving machine". This creates a bond between the car and the driver that may last for a lifetime. These three magic letters stand for Bayerische Motoren Werke, or in English, Bavarian Motor Works. The "Motor" is the core of this acronym and is the foundation; the key part around which BMW builds every product. BMW Drives invites you to be part in this amazing trip and you will find out the story that lies behind BMW. HOW BMW PROGRESSED FROM THIS TO 1913 The man who started all was Karl Friedrich Rapp in October 1913. Not everybody knows that BMW started as a manufacturer of aircraft with Austro-Daimler, who was unable to meet its demands that of building V12 Aero engines under license. The company expanded too quickly, and by 1916 Karl Friedrich Rapp resigned from the company because of financial troubles. The company was taken over by two Austrians Franz- Josef Popp and Max Fritz backed by a Vienna engines. Rapp establishes "Rapp-Motorenwerke" in a former bicycle factory near Munich. He starts manufacturing his own aircraft engines but unfortunately they suffered form problems with vibrations. Close to Rapp´s factory, Gustav Otto, the son of the inventor of the four-stroke internal combustion engine, sets up a business building small aircrafts.
