The Silicon Valley thought police have shielded themselves behind Section 230 to censor, without repercussion, conservative content. The MRC has not escaped their omnipotent grasp, once being blacklisted from search results for several hours in what Google called “a technical glitch.” Accidental beta-test of a “camouflage conservative websites” algorithm, perhaps? Of course, the Facebook/Google/Twitter/YouTube monolith has silenced many conservative organizations, movements, and voices — including President Trump. Time to act. The White House petitioned the FCC to clarify that Section 230 “does not permit social media companies that alter or editorialize users’ speech to escape civil liability.” That’s when the MRC’s Grassroots Army, as a battalion of free-speech patriots, came locked & loaded to fight. The FCC invited public input on the petition, ending September 17, and we asked you to join (and recruit 3 friends) Brent Bozell and the MRC in telling them, “I support the petition to review the scope of Section 230!” The FCC received a bunch of great comments from the MRC’s Grassroots Army. Free speech is the bedrock of democracy. Thank you for participating and using your constitutional right to be heard, taking action, and helping to advance the cause of freedom.
