Leaders at every level can find themselves plunged into planning and executing multiagency operations while simultaneously: building a team; framing the taskforce purpose and scope; and establishing operating structures and procedures. In most crises they will have to deal with a 24/7 media cycle and powerful political pressures. This publication provides multiagency taskforce leaders and their staff with knowledge, experience and advice to assist them in their role. It covers lessons learned from operations ranging from domestic and international disaster response, through peace and stabilisation operations, to coordination of multiagency efforts in high-intensity conflict.
