Knife - Santoku knives are the Japanese version of the chef’s knife. The shape of the blade is similar to that of the Chef Knife but has a slight curve a couple centimetres from the tip towards the spine. A good all-rounder, the santoku has a flatter profile blade makes this knife excellent for dicing and chopping vegetables and herbs, or fish. (The chef's knife is more commonly used for cutting through thick cuts of and even bones, while the Santoku is the go-to for fish) • What’s the difference between a A Chef's Knife & Santoku? A chef’s knife features a blade tip which naturally causes the chef to 'rock' the blade forward as they complete their cut. The absence of a tip on the Santoku knife means one can slice in a single downward cut. While many chefs successfully employ the rocking method, the Santoku is faster and more efficient.

Care: • We recommend hand washing and towel drying for best results. • Professional sharpening recommended

Practical Tips: • The blades are long lasting, heavy duty and “re-sharp enable” for a life time • Sharpening does not grind away the blade so fast compared to knives processed differently • All knives become blunt with use and to maintain cutting efficiency knives should be kept sharp. • Always use a knife sharpener to sharpen knives. • Tupperware’s Knife Sharpener is ideal for sharpening the Chef Series Pro knives. • Always use an appropriate cutting surface (such as a cutting board) when using the knives. • To prevent damage to the blades, don’t use knives to open bottles, loosen drawers or cut through hard sur- faces/objects (such as bone or plastic). • Always store knives properly and in a safe place. • To improve cutting efficiency and hygiene, clean the knife blade as you work and before storage.

Cleaning: • Do NOT put the knives in the dishwasher. This could make the knives blunt and damage them. • Always wash the knives by hand and dry thoroughly before storage. • Spots which may appear on the blades can be easily removed with a commercial stainless steel cleaner

Safety Tips • Never drop a knife into a sink of dishes as this may cause serious injury and may dent or damage the blades • When storing never let the knives encounter other metal objects. This could damage the blades • Chef Series Pro knives are designed to be super sharp and to cut with minimal effort. Always use knives with extreme care. • When not cutting place the blade under the cutting board to prevent accidental injury. • Always hold the knives firmly by the handle. • If dropped always let the knife fall to the floor. Never attempt to catch the knife in mid-air. • Never leave knives unattended around children. Always store knives in a safe place. • When passing a knife to another person lay the knife down on a flat surface and allow the other person to pick it up by the handle.
