Progress in Biological Sciences Vol. 7, Number 2, Autumn/Winter 2017/135-145 - DOI: 10.22059/pbs.2020.275615.1329 Investigation of flora, life form and geographical distribution of plant species in north-west of Ludab region, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, Iran Rahman Eftekharifar1, Navaz Kharazian1,*, Mohammad Reza Parishani2 1 Department of Botany, Faculty of Sciences, Shahrekord University, Shahrekord, Iran 2 Dept. of Biology, Faculty of Science, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, Ahvaz, Iran Received: February 06, 2019; Accepted: January 5, 2020 Ludab region, known for its unique landscape comprising a vast fertile plain surrounded by high mountains and covered by loose oak forests, is a part of Boyer-Ahmad County in southern Zagros mountain range (West Iran) with an area of 87,715 km2 located 110 km north-west of the capital city, Yasuj. The aim of this research is to assess floristic elements, life forms, chorology, and endemic, medicinal, pasture, and poisonous species in Ludab region. For this purpose, several field trips were done and specimens of three regions of Ludab including Dar-e Bid, Chin, and Gelal were collected during different seasons. A total of 235 species representing 184 genera and 52 families were recognized in the region among which 55 species were endemic to the country. Regarding the life form, the majority of species were hemicryptophytes (45%; 106 species), followed by therophytes (33%; 77 species), phanerophytes (9%; 22 species), geophytes (9%; 22 species), and chamaephytes (4%; 8 species). Most of the species showed the Irano-Turanian (61%) chorotype, while Irano-Turanian/Eurosiberian (16%) chorotype was the next frequent one. -

To collect the required data three versions of a Discourse Completion Test in English, Persian and Badrudi were administered to the research sample (N=40). The collected data was codified and analyzed with regard to social power and distance as two contextual variables and further statistical procedure was run to sustain or reject the research hypotheses. The analysis of the data revealed that the presence of power in interactions influences the request realization by the participants as there were differences among the most frequent strategies in English, Persian, and Badrudi. Moreover, with respect to the presence of social distance the comparison among request strategies in English, Persian, and Badrudi indicated the participants opt for different strategies as the most frequent strategies. -
Perspektiven Eines Nachhaltigen Tourismus in Isfahan
About this text Based on interviews with experts from the catchment area and relevant literature, the touristic potential of the area in question was presented, which turned out to be quite considerable. However, with the help of the subsequently carried out deficit analysis it became obvious that this potential can’t be made use of at the moment due to in- sufficient political support. In a SWOT-analysis, the strengths and weaknesses as well as the possibilities and risks of touristic development within the catchment area were outlined. Based on this SWOT-analysis, two different -

Accordingly, in recent years, the government has implemented several measures in the form of rural guide plan and rural reconstruction-renovation plan for the development of rural settlements in different parts of the country. These plans have improved rural housing through their control- supervision measures, and executive-practical measures. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of government measures in the development of rural housing in Dolatabad rural district in Jiroft County, Southeastern Iran. A review of previous studies on this subject confirmed that the present study will be important as a new action in the evaluation of rural housing and can be a positive step for solving problems and for better implementation of similar projects in the future. Accordingly, the present study, by considering the level of actions -

Taxonomic characters, an identification key for all accepted taxa, descriptions of species including reference to synonyms and types, enumeration of studied material, notes on taxonomy and variability in morphology, and in most cases illustrations of the flowers and partly entire plants are given. Altogether 37 species with 4 subspecies are accepted for that area. Two new combinations [H. aucheri DC. subsp. carmanicum (Bunge) Akhani &. Förther and H. dasycarpum Ledeb. subsp. transoxanum (Bunge) Akhani & Förther] are established. Most of the taxa are typified. In spite of two recently published new species the total number of species is reduced to about half of the formerly reported within -

Forests and Rangelands Research Department, Kermanshah Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Education Center, (AREEO), Kermanshah, Iran * Corresponding author’s E-mail: [email protected] ABSTRACT The Kouh-payeh with an area of 3000 km2 is located at 70 km east of Isfahan on the edge of central Kavir at longitude 52° 26ʹE and latitude 32° 43ʹN. In this study, the floristic richness, life form, geographical distribution and conservation status were assessed. All plant species were collected from Kouh-payeh area during 2014-2016. The collected species were identified, then life forms and chorology of each species were estimated. By examining a total of 200 collected plant species, 38 families and 137 genera were found. The dominant life forms were mainly identified as therophytes (45%) and hemicryptophytes (34%). Based on chorotype information, an Irano- Touranian distribution (60%) was generally observed in this area. Other chorotypes such as Irano- Touranian/Saharo-Sindian (6%) and Irano-Touranian/ Euro-Siberian (6%) were present in lower quantities. Among the identified species, 43 endemic species were also recognized. In terms of conservation status, there were Low Risk (77%), Vulnerable (15%) and Data Deficient (8%) needed some conservation policies. This study was performed for the first time in this area. Keywords: Chorotype, endemic, floristic, Isfahan, Kouh-payeh.
