The FIM Championships must be held on Track Racing circuits which are homologated by the FIM, as stipulated in the FIM Sporting Code under Art. 10.8. The specifications as per these regulations are the basic minimum recommendations for track construction taking into account safety both for competitors and spectators. The CCP Bureau however at its sole discretion may agree the homologation of track racing circuits that vary ds r a from these specifications in circumstances where the CCP Bureau are fully d n satisfied that appropriate safety standards have been agreed and a t implemented. Variations from these regulations in such circumstances will S be written into the official Track Inspection Report by the official appointed CCP Inspector. 79.2 INSPECTION AND HOMOLOGATION PROCEDURE 79.2.1 Request for a track inspection Each FMN can apply for a track inspection by the FIM Administration. Every application for an FIM track inspection must be submitted together with an accurate plan-drawing of the track to the scale 1:500. This plan- drawing must also indicate the pits area, the changing room, the amenities and accommodation for the public, as well as all relevant dimensions and necessary information. An accurate construction-drawing of the safety barrier to the scale 1:10 must also be submitted. 3 FIM Standards For Track Racing Circuits (STRC) ONE EVENT TRACK Inspection: STRC shall be used as guideline for the inspection, however at all times safety for the competitor (and spectators) must be the priority consideration. A pre-inspection of the venue must be held during the season preceding the one that in which it is intended to stage the meeting (an absolute minimum of two months before the proposed event). Only in exceptional circumstances as agreed in advance, and in writing by the CCP will this stipulation be varied. A complete track inspection MUST also be completed a minimum of two days before the proposed event. The persons present at the inspection MUST include the appointed CCP inspector, an FMN delegate, the track Owner ds and/or organiser. It is also recommended that one rider shall be present. r a d n 79.2.2 Homologation procedure a t S During the year, the FIM Administration will receive all documentation (track inspection reports, relevant remarks and conclusions contained in previous reports from the Jury Presidents and Referees) for all tracks hosting World Championship meetings. The FIM Administration will examine the documentation and make the following recommendations to the CCP, concerning the tracks that have been proposed by the FMNs for the meetings of the following year: a) The track is in order, and there are no remarks concerning the organisation. b) The FMNR and the organisers must be advised about the improvements to be carried out, and must confirm in writing that they have been completed within the deadline set by the CCP. c) A re-inspection is requested for the track, or the FMNR is requested to change the venue to another track conforming to the standards. A track inspector will be appointed by the CCP in order to control and possibly recommend a homologation for: a) Any track to be used for an FIM Championship for the first time, or where no current licence is in force. 4 FIM Standards For Track Racing Circuits (STRC) b) Existing tracks that have already been used for an FIM Championship, but have undergone substantially changes affecting the circuit or the safety installations. c) Existing tracks holding a valid licence, but where a serious accident has occurred due to the circuit, its safety installations or something else connected with the circuit. d) Any particular track following a request from the FIM Administration. A track complying with all the recommendations and conditions of a final track inspection report will be homologated by the CCP and will receive an FIM track licence. For permanent tracks a Track licence may be issued for a maximum period of three years. For Temporary tracks a licence will be issued for ds a specific event or series of events that will be clearly stated on the r a d licence. n a t e) The track licence will be issued in accordance with the track details as S entered onto the track inspection report by the appointed inspector. Any change or alteration to the details made without the approval of the CCP will invalidate the licence with immediate effect. 79.2.3 Persons necessary for a track inspection The appointed CCP track inspector will be accompanied by the following persons: • A qualified member of the FMNR • A qualified representative of the owner of the track or the organising club • A rider (this is highly recommended) 79.2.4 Expenses for a track inspection The costs of the different track inspections

When doing pursuits or time trials, use this line as a guide. ¨ The red “sprinter’s line” defines the border of the sprint lane. The leading rider in this lane is said to “own the lane” and may only be passed by a rider going over on the right. NO PASSING BELOW RIDERS IN THE SPRINTERS LANE. Additionally once a sprint is engaged, a racer who is leading and in the sprinter’s lane can not leave it. ¨ The uppermost blue line is the “stayer’s line” or the relief line. It marks the boundary between faster and slower traffic, with the faster riders below the line and the slower “relief” riders above the line.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your race team, friends, and family are aware of the polices and procedures included in this document. This form will be available on the tracks websites as well as well as the race tracks. 1) Preface: The intent of NHSTRA general and divisional rules is to foster a safe and orderly environment for competitive Motorsports and entertainment. The knowledge of, and adherence to, these rules is ultimately the participants responsibility. NO expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from the publication of, or compliance with these rules. There is no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, officials, or any other individual involved. 2) Interpretation and Amendment: The interpretations of rules contained herein will be the sole responsibility of authorized officials of NHSTRA. Their interpretations and judgements shall be final. These rules may only be amended by the Head Tech or an authorized member of NHSTRA management. This amendment will be posted on a NHSTRA track website, and may be sent out via e-mail to all registered teams.     Abstract There are thousands of young drivers racing go karts and in the lower formulas, all hoping to make careers as professional racers. At the other end of the spectrum, there are 22 drivers on the Formula One grid each year, and only one of them can become world champion. Clearly, the odds are stacked against anyone becoming a professional driver in F1 or any of the other major racing series: IndyCar, NASCAR, DTM, etc. Learning the skills needed to compete at such a high level requires years of practice and the investment of hundreds of thousands of dollars. And even after all that, nothing is guaranteed. This paper explores that difficult path to the top, both the traditional route from karting through the various formulas, and a new option: simulator-based training and racing, which is quickly proving to be a viable—if still rare—route for young drivers. Advanced simulator technology is making racing more accessible, but even with the new technology, drivers still need support to make the most of it. Virtual Racing School (VRS) was created to provide that support to the next generation of motorsport champions. From analyzing and interpreting telemetry to tracking performance and trends to developing personalized training plans, VRS is being developed to assist drivers from the moment they take their first laps on a simulator all the way through a successful on-track racing career. It is a long, difficult and expensive road… While the technology of racing cars has advanced significantly over the past few decades, the methods for identifying driver talent have not.

Lots are drawn to determine the cyclist’s start position. The cyclist who draws the inside starting position has an obligation to lead the first half lap of the race. This is a tactical race in which the cyclists may use the whole track to manoeuvre into position. The sprint competition consists of five phases: qualifying, 1/8th finals, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. In the qualifying phase, all cyclists will complete a 200m flying start (time trial, after 3.5 build-up laps) to determine the seeding order for the 1/8th finals.

    2019 MOTORSPORT AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY Ever since the company was founded in 1976, Öhlins has represented the very pinnacle of suspension technology and firmly rooted itself as an intricate part of the motorsport industry, underpinning countless world titles. That very technology has subsequently been adopted not only as the gold standard of aftermarket suspension, but is also by car and motorcycle manufacturers around the world. Back in the 1960’s, Kenth Öhlin was an up-and-coming motocross rider and showed an innate talent for mechanics. He knew how to bring the best out of his material and soon he saw himself engaged in modifying his competitor’s bikes. By the time he started his business he had already designed exhaust pipes, engines and – of course – shock absorbers. Öhlins soon became synonymous with advanced suspension. The products were not only superior in terms of technology, but as Mr. Öhlin was, and is, a very meticulous man the quality was always outstanding. The first world championship was won already in 1978, as Russian Gennady Moiseev took the 250cc title on an Öhlins equipped KTM. Since then, more than another 350 world titles have followed. The success continued in road racing and soon also in the automotive segment, in racing as well as in rally, all adding to the motorsport pedigree. But don’t think that Öhlins was content, not for a minute. The company continued to grow, adding electronically controlled, semi-active suspension to its portfolio under the trademark CES. Today, this technology has revolutionized the car industry and can be found in a wide range of products from premium car manufacturers.

Start permission from the relevant FMN must be submitted to the organiser and any additional third party insurance must be obtained.     Introduction This book contains rules and technical requirements governing all events that make up the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship (GNC). The rulebook is designed to provide the information needed to prepare motorcycles for competition, plus an overview of rules that apply to the racing program. The intent of a specific rule will override a competitor’s interpretation of a rule. The intent of a rule will be determined by AMA Pro Racing. If any rule is unclear to the entrant or competitor, the entrant or competitor is advised to get written approval prior to any modifications. Requests for rule clarifications or interpretations must be submitted in writing by riders and teams to AMA Pro Racing. Any prior verbal approval from AMA Pro Racing without a written statement from the Technical Department regarding the interpretation of a rule or procedure will be deemed invalid. While every effort has been made to write these rules in a clear and unambiguous fashion, it is impossible to anticipate every circumstance. It will be the race director’s responsibility to make decisions regarding rules enforcement. By participating in an AMA Pro Racing event, each licensed participant agrees to abide by AMA Pro Racing’s rules and procedures. In addition, AMA Pro Racing licensed riders may be held responsible for the actions of their crew members. Violation of AMA Pro Racing rules and procedures can lead to forfeiture of competition licenses or event credentials, fines, points deductions, lap deductions, finishing position deductions, time penalties, disqualification and other disciplinary actions as outlined herein. For safety reasons, at any time during the calendar year AMA Pro Racing may require a Competitor to undergo a physical or psychological examination by designated medical professionals at the Competitor’s expense.
