COACH HILL • PATTERSON HEIGHTS I FEBRUARY 2020 5 Rink Celebration 2019 A highlight of the holidays in Coach Hill/Patterson Heights was the 2nd Annual Boxing Day Skating Party on the afternoon of December 26 at the Adopt-a-Rink on Coach Hill Road. It was a lovely, sunny day and many families came out to enjoy the fresh air while spending time with friends and neigh- bours. The rink was full of skaters all afternoon and the fun on the ice was matched by the pleasure of sipping hot chocolate and coffee around the fire pits set up along side. The rink is a fantastic community gathering place and a testament to the saying, “Build it and they will come”!

Thank you to the volunteers who put in countless hours to create and main- tain the rink. It is well used and a great addition to our community! Thank you, as well, to the volunteers who organized the Skating Party and to Scotia- bank Theatre Chinook for donating a ton of delicious popcorn.

Pencil it into your 2020 calendar - we look forward to seeing you at the 3rd Annual Boxing Day Skating Party next December!
