Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India Shri Dharmendra Pradhan graced the occasion and handed over the LoIs to 10 new LPG distributors from the dais. Prof. Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Hon’ble Minister of Women Welfare, Family Welfare, Maternity and Child Welfare and Tourism, Govt of UP, Shri Ashutosh Tandon, Hon’ble Minister of Basic Education and Medical Education, Govt of UP, Smt. Swati Singh, Minister of State (I/C) for NRI, Flood Control, Agriculture Import, Agriculture Marketing, Agriculture Foreign Trade and State minister in the Ministry of Women Welfare, Family Welfare, Maternity and Child Welfare, Govt of UP, Shri Neeraj Bohra, MLA UP Assembly and senior officials from MoP&NG, UP Govt. and OMCs were also present during the occasion. Total 309 LoIs were handed over by Oil Marketing Companies to New LPG distributors during the event. These distributors have been selected through a transparent merit based system. This will usher in an era of socio-economic empowerment & employment generation for youth of Uttar Pradesh. During the event, the top performing District Nodal Officers (DNOs) of Northern India from Oil Marketing Companies were felicitated by the dignitaries for their exemplary role in taking forward the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana with all the stakeholders to fulfill the vision of smokeless kitchens pan – India.
