In August 2017 after acquiring the assets of AGRA and its key responsibility of coordinating the Group Racing Calendar, the new-look organisation known as the GCA was formed. GCA’s aim is to provide a well-reasoned and united voice on behalf of clubs, both city and country, big or small, to media, controlling authorities and government on issues of importance. We want to influence chief decision makers in areas such as animal welfare, reform, track design and safety, marketing and communication, issues of the day, as well as improving the effectiveness of the Group Racing Calendar. In simple terms, GCA’s ambition is to make a positive difference towards the betterment of greyhound racing in everything we do.
