Paul Burrell Len's Letter July 12, 2012 New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) Northern Boulevard, Gerry House, Room 104 P.O. Box 8000 Old Westbury, NY 11568-8000 Dear Sir/ Madam, We are excited to be hosting Paul Burrell, RVM, and former butler to the Queen of England and Diana, Princess of Wales, for a unique, exclusive three-day event. A Royal Experience with Paul Burrell at NYIT includes: A ROYAL STYLE GALA on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at NYIT de Seversky Mansion in Old Westbury; STYLE AMONG THE ROYALS on Friday, September 21st at NYIT Auditorium on Broadway at NYIT’s Manhattan campus; and STYLE OF A PEOPLE’S PRINCESS-BUCKINGHAM PALACE TEA on Saturday, September 22nd at NYIT de Seversky Mansion. Paul Burrell, who served the British Royal family for 21 years, started his career as a footman to Queen Eliza- beth II and later became butler to Prince Charles and Princess Diana. He was extremely faithful to the Royals, especially Diana, who described him as "the only man she ever trusted." She was very fond of him, and referred to him as her "rock." Burrell served Diana and the Royal Princes, William and Harry, until her unfor- tunate death on August 31, 1997. The Queen awarded Burrell the Royal Victorian Medal for his service to the Royal Family. Mr. Burrell’s visit will provide a memorable educational experience on impeccable service to NYIT students preparing themselves for careers in dining, hospitality, and special events management. His visit will also help NYIT raise funds for student scholarships and to preserve NYIT de Seversky Mansion, a historic former residence serving NYIT students and the local community. Mr. Burrell will also share with you at each event his royal experiences and insights. We truly hope you will accept this letter as an invitation to participate as a Royal Sponsor and join the select list of prestigious names that have already become part of A Royal Experience with Paul Burrell at NYIT. By doing so, you will assist in making a profound difference to the education of NYIT students and preserva- tion of the NYIT de Seversky Mansion. Enclosed is a detailed sponsorship package, which outlines the numerous opportunities available. Please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Terri Carr Muran, Royal Experience Coordinator at [email protected] or 516.686.7676 if you have any further questions.
