Levels and Moors 20 Year Action Plan: Online Engagement Responses We have had an excellent response to our request for your ideas – between the 13 th and 21 st February a total of 224 individuals responded on-line and a few by email. All of these ideas have been passed to the people writing the plan for their consideration and we have collated them into a single, document for your information – please note this document is in excess of 80 pages long! Theme: Dredging and River Management The ideas we shared with you: • Dredging the Parrett and Tone during 2014 and maintain them into the future to maximise river capacity and flow. • Maintain critical watercourses to ensure appropriate levels of drainage, including embankment raising and strengthening, and dredging at the right scale to keep water moving on the Levels, but not damaging the wildlife rich wetlands. • Increase the flow in the Sowy River. • Construct a tidal exclusion sluice on the River Parrett as already exists on other rivers in Somerset. • Restore the natural course of rivers. • Use the existing water management infrastructure better by spreading flood water more appropriately when it reaches the floodplain. • Flood defences for individual communities, for instance place an earth bund around Moorland and/or Muchelney, (maybe using the dredged material). -

Public notice Consolidation and Review of Traffic Management Orders for ‘Map-based’ Schedule Format The London Borough of Southwark (Charged-For Parking Places) (Map-based) Order 202* The London Borough of Southwark (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Map-based) Order 202* 1. Southwark Council hereby GIVES NOTICE that it proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be: (a) to consolidate the provisions of all existing Orders designating on-street charged-for parking places, free parking places, loading places and waiting, loading and stopping restrictions on streets in the London Borough of Southwark; (b) to update the terms and conditions for the use of on-street free parking places, loading places and waiting, loading and stopping restrictions as well as all on-street charged-for parking places set by those Orders. These would reflect the Council’s current parking policy in terms of eligibility for permits and applicable fees and charges, and any applicable exemptions; and (c) to provide for the use of a ‘map-based’ schedule, to be read in conjunction with the Orders, describing the location, type of the restriction, class of vehicle, the hours of operation and where applicable, the Controlled Parking Zone in which the parking places are located (and thereby the permit types to be displayed on or indicated in relation to vehicles left in parking places). NOTE: there would be no change to the existing layout, type or amount of provision of on- street charged-for parking places, on-street free parking places, loading places and waiting, loading and stopping restrictions, other than as detailed above, to the terms of use thereof (and any applicable fees and charges) as is currently published online by the Council, as a result of the making of these Orders. -

Nexus, Newcastle City Council and the Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority (ITA) want to make sure the network of bus services in the area meets residents’ needs. To do this, Nexus has worked together with bus companies and local councils to examine how current services operate and to look at what improvements could be made to the ‘subsidised’ services in the network, which are the ones Nexus pays for. We have called this the Accessible Bus Network Design Project (see below). We want your views on the proposals we are now making to improve bus services in Newcastle, which you can find in this document. We want to hear from you whether you rely on the bus in your daily life, use buses only occasionally or even if you don’t – but might consider doing so in the future. You’ll find details of different ways to respond on the back page of this brochure. This consultation forms part of the Tyne and Wear Integrated Transport Authority’s Bus Strategy, a three year action plan to improve all aspects of the bus services in Tyne and Wear. AGENDA LAYOUT Reports on a planning application describes the application site, the proposed development, any relevant planning history, responses from those who have been consulted on the application along with any other comments received, and, lastly, a report on the main planning issues relevant to the application. The reports also contain a recommendation to the Board Members, generally either for refusal or approval. The recommendation appears at the beginning and at the end of each report. There is a narrative by the Planning Officer of his/her consideration and the reason for refusal, or the conditions to be attached to an approval, are set out at the end of the report.
