Please Oppose Synthetic Materials for Organic Aquaculture in 205.611 Please oppose synthetic materials for organic aquaculture in 205.611 To the National Organic Standards Board: I urge you to oppose adding synthetics -- including chlorine materials, tocopherols, vitamins and trace minerals -- to 205.611 for use in organic aquatic animal production. As you know, NOSB recommendations on fish farming have Been extremely controversial, especially the use of open net pens for fish. There are not yet standards for organic aquaculture operations. The use of synthetic materials in organic food production is likewise highly controversial, and voting to allow synthetic materials in organic aquaculture Before we even know what these operations will look like is not acceptable. I urge you to reject these petitions for materials for use in aquatic animal production. Among the 3 million Afghan refugees in Iran there are very few who are there legally. About one million children of the illegals have no right to any Iranian education despite being born in the country.
