Extinguishing Media Suitable Extinguishing Media regular dry chemical, carbon dioxide, water spray, -resistant foam. Large fires: water spray or alcohol-resistant foam Unsuitable Extinguishing Media high-pressure water streams Special Hazards Arising from the Chemical Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Vapor/air mixtures are explosive above flash point. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Hazardous Combustion Products oxides of carbon Advice for firefighters Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Vapor/air mixtures are explosive above flash point. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Fire Fighting Measures Move container from fire area if it can be done without risk. Do not scatter spilled material with high- pressure water streams. Fight fire from maximum distance or use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles. Cool containers with water spray until well after the fire is out. Withdraw immediately in case of rising sound from venting safety device or any discoloration of tanks due to fire. ALWAYS stay away from tanks engulfed in fire. For massive fire, use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles; if this is impossible withdraw from area and let fire burn. Avoid inhalation of material or combustion by-products. Special Protective Equipment and Precautions for Firefighters Wear full protective fire fighting gear including self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for protection against possible exposure.

Section 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures Wear personal protective clothing and equipment. Methods and Materials for Containment and Cleaning Up Fully encapsulating, vapor protective clothing should be worn for spills and leaks with no fire. ELIMINATE all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames in immediate area). All equipment used when handling the product must be grounded. Additionally, for large spills: Water spray may reduce vapor, but may not prevent ignition in closed spaces. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Stop leak if possible without personal risk. Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements, or confined areas. A vapor suppressing foam may be used to reduce vapors. Small spills: Absorb with sand or other non-combustible material. Collect spilled material in appropriate container for disposal. Use non-sparking tools during clean- up. Large spills: Dike far ahead of liquid spill for collection and later disposal. Environmental Precautions Avoid release to the environment.

Section 7 - HANDLING AND STORAGE

Precautions for Safe Handling Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from heat/sparks/open flame/hot surfaces - No smoking. Ground/Bond container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/lighting equipment. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Use only non-sparking tools. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Do not breathe vapor or mist. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Obtain special instructions before use. ______Page 4 of 11 Issue date: 2021-04-27 Revision 1.0 Print date: 2021-04-28
