1. 24 Feb 1753 Letters of priest's orders. Revd Samuel Madden is ordained priest in Ardbraccan Church by Henry [Maule], Bishop of Meath. 2. 22 Sep 1756 Deed of assignment Margaret Travers, City of Dublin widow & Cassandra Travers, spinster, her daughter to Thomas Radcliff & Stephen Radcliff City of Dublin Assignment of a judgement in the Court of Exchequer in trust for the impending marriage of Cassandra Travers and Revd Samuel Madden. 3. 22 Sep 1756 Deed of assignment Revd Samuel Madden & Deborah Madden, widow, his mother to Thomas Radcliff & Stephen Radcliff, City of Dublin Assignment of the interest of part of the provision in the will of the late Revd Dr John Madden for marriage settlements for his children in trust for the impending marriage of the Samuel Madden & Cassandra Travers. 4. 26 Mar 1777 Marriage settlement of Revd Arthur Palmer, and Margaret, daughter of Revd Dr Samuel Madden. 5. 24 Jan 1779 Letters patent translating Revd Dr Hugh Hamilton, & Kilmacduagh, to the Bishopric of Ossory, vacant by the translation of Revd Dr Thomas Lewis O'Beirne to the Bishopric of Meath. 6. 30 Oct 1780 Certificate conferring an honorary LL.D. on Samuel Madden by Trinity College, Dublin. 7. 7 Oct 1780 Letters of appointment of the Revd Samuel Madden as Vicar-General of the Diocese of Ossory by John [Hotham], . 8. 3 Jul 1781 Letters of dispensation from the Archbishop of Armagh [Richard Robinson, Baron Rokeby] permitting Revd Dr Samuel Madden to hold the Rectory & Vicarage of Fiddown with the parishes of Owning alias Bewley, Tibroghney & Tubrid, Diocese of Ossory at the same time as the Rectory of Inchiholahan & Vicarage of Tullahanbrogue in the Diocese of Ossory and the Chancellorship of St Canice's Cathedral. 9. 31 Jul 1787 Letters of appointment of Revd Dr Samuel Madden as Commissioner for [Hon] Wm [Beresford], Bishop of Ossory during his absence from the diocese. 10. 30 Jul 1788 Marriage settlement of the Revd Samuel Hawshaw, Bishop's Place, Co. Monaghan and Cassandra, daughter of Revd Dr Samuel Madden. 11. 28 Feb 1799 Letters of authority from Hugh [Hamilton], Bishop of Ossory to Revd Dr Samuel Madden, Vicar General of the Diocese of Ossory, to institute Revd Edward Pidgeon to the vicarage of St John's & Claragh, vacant by the death of Revd Matthew Hemmings. 12. Mar 1799 Do, to institute Revd Richard Ryland to the vicarages of Poleroan, Portnescolly & Ullid and the Revd Thomas Wallis to the vicarages of Rosbercon, Dysertmoon, Shanbough, Ballygurn Kilmackivoge & Rathpatrick, all vacant by the death of Revd Hans Thomas Fell, and to institute Revd [Arthur] Connolly to the rectory of Aglishmartin, vacant by the death of Revd John Hewtson. 13. 26 Apr 1802 Copy of the will of Revd Travers Madden, Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny, with codecils dated 4 May 1802 and 9 May 1802.
