Key Skills • Finding and developing new talent • Script reading and project assessment • Project management and delivery Recent Employment History: Tyke Films (Producer) 2013 – Ongoing Tyke Films was set up to work with interesting and diverse talent wishing to develop their voice through little told narratives. The slate includes: Selection of Projects in Development: ‘Skin Lane’ Adaptation of the novel Skin Lane by Neil Bartlett, Shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award in 2007 with director Dominic Leclerc attached to direct. Mr. F’s working life on London’s Skin Lane in 1964 is one governed by calm, precision and routine. So when he starts to have frightening, recurring nightmares, his world falls apart and they become’s an obsession. A chance encounter adds a face to the body that nightly haunts him, and the torments of his sweat-drenched nights lead him deeper into a terrifying labyrinth of rage, desire and shame. Part fairy-tale, part compelling evocation of a now-lost London. ‘Protect Me From What I Want’ Part of a slate of LGBT themed feature film work , an interracial gay love story set in Bradford developed through Creative England’s iFeatures in 2014 with writer/director Dominic Leclerc. ‘Freewheeling’ Feature film by a female Asian writer Yesmien Bagh Ali, Freewheeling is a feel good film about a group of Pakistani women from Bradford who find freedom and independence through mountain biking. ‘Anfield Road’ A part animated coming of age teen drama set in 80’s Liverpool against the Hillsborough disaster and Morrissey. With writer/director Chris Shepherd ‘The National Facility For The Regulation of Regret’ Multi platform interactive project looking at the nature of regret through a set of fictional characters who attend the facility. Part of Crossover Lab at Sheffield Docfest in 2015. Funded by the Maudsley Charity, Wellcome Trust, BFI,Creative England and BBC Storyville. National Film and Television School (Talent Scout) January 2014 - Ongoing Discovering and tracking new talent from education, film industry, theatre, comedy and publishing with a focus on female and BAME talent. Currently running Bridges To Industry, connecting past and current students to industry through employment, commissions and work experience. Sheffield Hallam University (Producing/Script Writing) January 2014 – Ongoing Mentoring and teaching from an industry perspective producing and script writing as an associate lecturer. BFI Academy (Script/Production Tutor/Mentor) November 2013 – Ongoing Teaching script writing and producing skills and mentoring young people in pre production, production and post production. Creative England (Various) 2012 – Ongoing As an approved freelancer I read and assess shorts and features for schemes including iFeatures, iShorts, Funny Girls and individual applications. I mentor filmmakers through iShorts giving them support on story, production and editorial. I have also support individuals through the Elevator scheme, delivering career and business advice.
