Eastlake Credo: At Eastlake, through intentional actions, we create an environment where students and staff feel safe, appreciated and loved. This is Eastlake. This is home. This is family. WSPS.

Dear Wolves,

We have had a successful Homecoming week that will culminate with a football game against Newport on Friday and a Homecoming Dance on Saturday. Our students worked to build school spirit and a sense of community that will resonate well beyond the week. Instead of Homecoming Royalty, Eastlake has Homecoming , allowing the entire school to vote for which student they think best represents the values of Eastlake High School. Each student has the opportunity to receive recognition for their character and contributions to our school.

For the Homecoming Dance, Leadership students have put in a lot of effort so that their classmates will not only want to attend the dance but stay for the duration. If a student never arrives or chooses to leave the dance early, they are no longer supervised. Please know where your students are before the dance, when they leave the dance and where they go after the dance. Although we have safety concerns about "party buses", we understand that some students will still arrive on these buses. When the buses arrive at Eastlake, we will require all students to exit the bus and enter the school dance. Students cannot stay on the bus on our campus. If they remain on the bus, the bus may be subject to a search. When students leave the dance, they cannot return, so students arriving on a bus need to coordinate with each other on their departure time.

We also have safety concerns about the “after parties” and have dealt with several situations where kids find themselves in compromising situations, usually after consuming alcohol, and even when the parents are home. Please support our efforts to keep kids safe during Homecoming.

Eastlake College Fair 10/25/2019 It’s time for Eastlake’s annual College Fair with 50+ colleges, career schools, military, and other options coming from areas far and wide to meet with Eastlake students. Whether you’re a 9th grader picking up a college or career brochure for the first time, 10th or 11th grader building a list of options, or a senior adding one last financial safety school, every student can get something out of a Fair. No sign-ups are needed, all students rotate through the Fair during Wolf Time. Students will receive pre-fair materials next week, and can get an advance peek of visiting institutions, questions to ask, and schools known for their support of students with learning differences on the College and Career Center PowerSchool page. Our gym fire code and parking lot capacity limits Fair attendance to students-only, but parents are encouraged to visit the 11/2 free National Association for College Admission Counseling College Fair in downtown Seattle to get in on the college fair fun.
