Presidents Report I was very pleased once again to see so many people show up for the meeting this month at Boston Pizza. It seems to be working well so far and I hope we can continue to have the same numbers each month. Once again the winter has flown by and the new road racing season will be here in a few weeks. If you are like me, none of those so-called Winter projects ever did get done. And I don’t even have the excuse that I went ice racing! I know that several of you did go though and that you had a lot of fun. Wish I could make it to some of the ice races – maybe next year. The Enduro in Seattle is coming up in the next couple of weeks – hope it is not too cold for all of you. Roger and I will be in Laguna Seca at the A1GP event there – hope it is warm and sunny there, but you never can tell. We have been there before and wished we had warm clothes. Thanks to SCCBC for confirming that the lunches will again be provided for all the volunteers this season. It is very much appreciated by everyone. See you at the track in a few weeks! Ann Driver Training March 18/19 SCCBC would like us there Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday Please arrive at the track on Saturday around 11:00am Also if you could let Dave or Irene know if you will be able to help out I’m sure they would appreciate it. [email protected] or [email protected] Northwest Endurance Series – Four Hour Enduro Pacific Raceways, Seattle, Wa March 12, 2006 The countdown continues and we are closing in on only 2 weeks remaining until the race. The race team entries are continuing to come in and we are hoping to have nearly 40 cars entered by race day. Jon Holt, a Conference driver, and a local chef and restaurant owner will be preparing our Salmon BBQ dinner immediately following the race. The BBQ this year will be free for all drivers and for all volunteer/workers. All others (crew members, family, spectators and friends) will be asked to pay just $10 to help offset the food costs. Drivers and volunteer/workers will be given a BBQ ticket at driver's registration or at the workers meeting. All other tickets can be purchased at the BBQ immediately following the race. The food preparation work is being donated by Jon and his food crew.
