A Glimpse of 2017-18

Academic Year 2017-18 has been year of consistency of operations, strengthening the organization and its partners, establishing a robust service delivery technology platform – Jupiter and gearing up to scale the eVidyaloka model. As the year closes, 137 centres across 9 different states are fully operational. Two more new states of and Odisha, got added.. States included – , , , , , , , Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. Rubaru – a rural-urban connect, the signature event, by eVidyaloka was organized with a theme of ‘Nurturing Future Talent’ and was very well received, by the stakeholders of eVidyaloka.

Shivaraj : A Dreamer

Shivaraj is a 6th standard student of Miyapur centre in Karnataka. He belongs from a remote village and a socio-economically disadvantaged family. In spite the adverse circumstances he initiates to participate in diverse sports competitions. He is also a sincere student and brilliant in academics. The teaching and guidance provided by the online teachers has further inspired him to progress in all sphere of life. The volunteer teachers of eVidyaloka have inspired him to dream of becoming a Civil Engineer in future.

Out of the Box: Initiatives by the Volunteers HIGHLIGHTS

A Journey to Science: Ramakrishna, an eV volunteer from Gosaveedu  Diverse Corporate on sponsored kids a one day science tour and kids visited Kothagudem board to partner with th coal mines and Kinnerasani dam for 8 grade. eVidyalokai.e. HP, RRD, roadrisge etc. Joy of Meeting: Many of our Volunteers visited their respective

centres & distributed gifts – Geometry boxes, dictionaries, story books,  For mobilising school bags, pencil boxes. volunteers eVidyaloka TCS World 10 K: Enthused supporters from corporates like Headrun, has started various BlackBuck, Teknodreams and young students from Podar International campaigns: JOC School, IIM Sinmour ran for eVidyaloka in the TCS World 10K (around 36 completed), Run for Bengaluru on May 28, 2018. The campaign helped raise donations up eVidyaloka campaign, to INR 82,000. Science Tour Google AdWords, Influencer Program. Path Ahead  Rubaru – a rural-urban  Reaching to 200 schools, by outreaching in & , alongside expanding in Odisha Uttar connect, the signature event, by eVidyaloka Pradesh and West Bengal.

 1500+ Volunteer teachers, teaching to over 13000-15000 children.  Establishing quality processes and increasing academic rigour in the eVidyaloka classes.

 Setting up of eVidyaloka Academy & enhancing the Jupiter platform, as part of scaling up eVidyaloka.
