Biografía: Fue becario de la histórica Residencia de Estudiantes de Madrid. Allí coincidió con el pintor Pedro Morales Elipe, con la pintora José Herrera, con el dramaturgo Santiago Matallana, con el músico Canco López y con el helenista Jorge Bergua; así como con antiguos residentes que habían tenido que marchar al exilio, como Luis de Zulueta, hijo del ministro de la Segunda República Española, y Arturo Sáenz de la Calzada, arquitecto, atleta y miembro del grupo de teatro La Barraca, fundado por Federico García Lorca. Vivió en Barcelona con su amigo el escritor Chusé Izuel, autor del libro de relatos Todo sigue tranquilo, que se suicidó allí en 1992. Estuvo encarcelado por un delito de insumisión, y Fernando Trueba rodó un cortometraje de su estancia en la cárcel para el largometraje Lumière et compagnie, en el que participaron, entre otros, David Lynch, Spike Lee, Wim Wenders y Michael Haneke. Ha intervenido en cameos en los largometrajes Más pena que gloria de Víctor García León y Una de zombis de Miguel Ángel Lamata, producido por Santiago Segura. En el curso 2004-2005 fue Writer in Residence de la University of Aberdeen (Aberdeen, Escocia). Dirigió durante cinco años el programa de cultura La mandrágora, presentado por Lara López, que mereció una mención del Premio Ondas y en el que se realizaron reportajes y entrevistas. Fue colaborador de Radio 3, de Radio Nacional de España, ABC, Letras Libres, Revista de Libros, Heraldo de Aragón... 4 En 2008 publicó el libro Amarillo, que narra la historia de su colega Chusé Izuel, basándose en los textos tanto publicados como inéditos de éste. Con una frase breve y un lenguaje despojado de todo elemento superfluo, Félix Romeo narra la historia del adolescente gordo, que no distingue la realidad de un episodio de los personajes de los dibujos animados, con el telón de fondo de la Zaragoza de los años setenta. Félix Romeo protagonizó el corto grabado por Trueba como homenaje a Lumière en el centenario del cine Buscar voz.... El director lo inmortalizó saliendo de la cárcel de Torrero, donde cumplía condena por insumiso. Condenado a dos años, cuatro meses y un día de prisión (de los que cumplió año y medio), ingresó en Torrero el 13 de febrero de 1995. Con este motivo recibió la solidaridad de diferentes personalidades del mundo de la cultura, como Labordeta, J. Llamazares, B. Atxaga, Enma Cohen, L. Alegre o J. Carbonell. Había ido a pasar tres días para celebrar la primera década de la revista ‘Letras libres’, revista en la que colaboraba asiduamente, tanto en la edición de papel como en el blog, con el mismo fervor y pasión por la vida y la libertad con que lo hacía en HERALDO, tanto en su sección de opinión, en ‘Artes & Letras’, como crítico de referencia y en las páginas de ‘Heraldo Domingo’, y murió a consecuencia de un fallo cardíaco. Félix también colaboraba con RNE y con ‘ABCD Cultural’ donde escribía de casi todo: de libros, de arte, de viajes y de cómics, otra de sus curiosidades desde niño. Fue siempre un gran lector, estudio Filosofía y Letras (ahora se iba a matricular en Lenguas Modernas), residió en la Residencia de Estudiantes, dirigió durante cinco años el programa cultural ‘La Mandrágora’ en TVE (que recibió el Premio Ondas) y protagonizó una corto de Fernando Trueba, ‘El insumiso Félix Romeo sale de la cárcel de Torrero’. Como escritor era autor de novelas como ‘Dibujos animados’ (que conoció distintas ediciones en Mira, Plaza & Janés y Anagrama), ‘Discotheque’ (Anagrama) y ‘Amarillo’ (Plot), la historia del joven escritor Chusé Izuel, y deja inédito su último 8 trabajo: ‘Noche de los enamorados’, de título provisional, que era la historia de un preso que conoció en la cárcel de Torrero, donde estuvo dos años por insumiso, entre 1994 y 1995. Félix era un lector voraz y le gustaba estar en la vida descubriendo sus placeres, la belleza cotidiana, la comida, las pequeñas cosas. Amaba Zaragoza con locura, le erizaban los tópicos sobre ella y era un seguidor del Real Zaragoza. Su pasión principal, más allá del amor mismo, era la amistad. Su vivencia de lo aragonés y de lo zaragozano, no le impedía ser un ciudadano del mundo: viajaba de aquí para allá con su compañera la artista Lina Vila, estaba pendiente de las literaturas extranjeras e impartía charlas, talleres. Era un agitador cultural que parecía haberse leído todos los libros. Admiraba a Patrick Modiano, a Georges Perec, a Wislawa Szymborska, a la que conoció y entrevistó, a Norman Manea, a Jorge Semprún, a Ramón José Sender. Para él la vida era infinita: una casa sin puertas y llena de seres humanos que le interesaban. Romeo, que se encontraba en Madrid para participar en los actos de celebración del décimo aniversario de la revista "Letras Libres", ha muerto al mediodía "de repente", ya que se encontraba bien de salud, según ha confirmado a Efe su amigo y también escritor Antón Castro. Romeo es autor de tres libros: "Dibujos animados", "Discothèque" y "Amarillo", colaboró habitualmente en Heraldo de Aragón, Radio Nacional de España y Letras Libres, y durante cinco años dirigió el programa de cultura "La mandrágora". Antón Castro lo ha descrito como una persona dinámica y vital, de generosidad increíble, que contagiaba y continuamente regalaba ideas y un apasionado del arte, de la cultura, de los viajes, de la gastronomía y, sobre todo, de la vida. "Es difícil encontrar en las letras españolas a una persona que le interesase tanto todo", ha dicho su amigo, quien ha recordado su intolerancia con la injusticia, su sinceridad, su honestidad y lo mucho que defendía la libertad. Fue becario de la Residencia de Estudiantes de Madrid, y entre 1994 y 1995 estuvo encarcelado por un delito de insumisión en la cárcel de Torrero. Otro de sus buenos amigos, el escritor oscense Carlos Castán ha dicho que se trata de una noticia "inesperada" y que ha llegado "muy de sopetón", pero lo ha recordado como "una persona imprescindible en la cultura 10 aragonesa", como dinamizador e impulsor de ideas y siempre capaz de animar a la gente "a hacer cosas".

Paul Auster’ın Cam Kent adlı Eserinin İki Çevirisi üzerine bir Çalışma. Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Ankara, 2015. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Paul Auster’ın Cam Kent romanının iki farklı çevirisinde çevirmene zorluk yaratacak öğelerin çevirmenler tarafından nasıl çevrildiğini Venuti’nin yerlileştirme ve yabancılaştırma kavramları ışığı altında analiz ederek çevirmenlerin uyguladıkları stratejileri tespit etmektir. Bunun yanı sıra Venuti’nin çevirmenin görünürlüğü ve görünmezliği yaklaşımları temel alınarak hangi çevirmenin daha görünür ya da görünmez olduğunu ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, çevirmenler için zorluk yaratan öğelerin sıklıkla kullanıldığı ve postmodern biçemiyle bilinen Paul Auster’a ait Cam Kent adlı eserin Yusuf Eradam (1993) ve İlknur Özdemir (2004) tarafından Türkçe’ye yapılan iki farklı çevirisi analiz edilmiştir. Bu eserin çevirisini zorlaştıran faktörler; özel isimler, kelime oyunları, bireydil, dilbilgisel normlar, tipografi, gönderme ve yabancı sözcükler olmak üzere yedi başlık altında toplanmış olup Cam Kent romanının iki farklı çevirisinde tercih edilen çeviri stratejileri karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırma, Venuti’nin çevirmenin görünmezliği yaklaşımı temel alınarak hangi çevirmenin daha görünür ya da görünmez olduğunu incelemek üzere yapılmıştır. İki çevirinin karşılaştırmalı analizinin ardından, iki çevirmenin de farklı öğeler için yerlileştirme ve yabancılaştırma yaklaşımlarını bir çeviri stratejisi olarak kullandığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

In doing so, some information about Auster’s life and the plot of the work are also offered to the reader to make the analysis more concrete. Last but not least, this study is also thought to be useful for students enrolled in English Language and Literary Departments for them to understand the movement of postmodernism. Foregrounding the intertwining of Hustvedt and Auster’s emotional relationship with the embodied process of aesthetic expression, the first chapter traces the development of the authors’ nascent identities through their non-fictional works, focusing upon the autobiographical, genealogical, canonical and interpersonal foundation of formative selfhood.     Introduction 1 Iciar Bollaín (left) rehearsing Mataharis Iciar Bollaín (Madrid, 1967), actress, scriptwriter, director and producer, is one of the most striking figures currently working in the Spanish cinema, and the first Spanish woman filmmaker to make the Oscars shortlist (2010). She has performed in key films directed by, among others, Víctor Erice, José Luis Borau, Felipe Vega and Ken Loach. Starting out as assistant director and co­scriptwriter, she has Santaolalla_Bollain.indd 1 04/04/2012 15:38 2 The cinema of Iciar Bollaín gone on to make four short films and five feature films to date, all but one scripted or co­scripted by her. She is also one of the founding members of Producciones La Iguana S. L., a film production company in existence since 1991. Her work raises questions about authorship, female agency and the mediation in film of social issues. It also highlights the tensions between creative and industrial priori­ ties in the cinema, and national and transnational allegiances, while prompting reflection on the contemporary relevance of cinéma engagé. Bollaín’s contribution to Spanish cinema has been acknowledged both by film­goers and the industry. Te doy mis ojos (Take My Eyes, 2003) is one of a handful of Spanish films seen by over one million spectators, and was the first film made by a woman ever to receive a Best Film Goya Award (Spanish Goya­equivalent) from the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España (Spanish Film Academy).1 Recognition has also come through her election to the Executive Committee of the College of Directors and Scriptwriters of the SGAE (Sociedad General de Autores y Editores) in July 2007, and to the Vice­Presidency of the Spanish Film Academy in June 2009.2 The varied range of Bollaín’s contribution to Spanish cinema, and the extent to which she is directly involved in key roles associated with filmmaking, inevitably lead to speculation on the extent to which she may be regarded as an auteur.
