Some species such as common swift and kestrel, which are originally adapted to enduring in rocky areas, even found a secondary habitat in the house facades and street canyons of towns and big cities. Classic rock dwellers include peregrine, eagle owl, rockthrush, snowfinch and alpine swift. The presentation focuses on the biology, causes of threat as well as conservation measures taken by the national park concerning the species golden eagle, wallcreeper, crag martin and ptarmigan. Birds breeding in the rocks might not be that high in number, but their survival is all the more fascinating and worth protecting as such! Methods A 2461-bp DNA sequence dataset was generated from one nuclear and two mitochondrial gene fragments in 87 specimens, covering all nominal taxa of the genus Allognathus. Through maximum-likelihood and Bayesian phylogenetic methods along with a Bayesian molecular clock, we examined the evolutionary history of the group. Ancestral distribution ranges were estimated for divergence events across the tree using a Bayesian approach. We also used genetic species-delimitation models to determine the taxonomy of Allognathus. Results We provided the first molecular phylogeny of Allognathus, a genus endemic to the Balearic Islands. The origin of the genus in the Balearic Islands was dated to the middle Miocene based on palaeogeographical events in the Western Mediterranean. During the late Miocene and Pliocene, several diversi- fication events occurred within the archipelago. The ancestral range of Allogna- thus was reconstructed as the north-eastern Tramuntana Mountains of Mallorca.

SOES National Museum of Natural History Naturalis, Postbus 9517, 2300 RA Leiden, The Netherlands; [email protected] The occurrence of the Asian tramp snail Bradybaena similaris (Férussac, 1821) is reported from a tropical greenhouse in Burgers’ Zoo near Arnhem, The Netherlands, where the species has been present at least since 2002. The snail was introduced unintentionally from an unknown source, probably with plant material. The morphology of the genitalia is compared with descriptions in the literature from Brazil and Nosi-Be island (Madagascar). This appears to be the first European record for the species. Keywords: Gastropoda, Stylommatophora, Hygromiidae, Bradybaenidae, invasive species In 2002 the first two authors independently collected respectively a juvenile and an adult shell of a land snail species unfamiliar to them in the tropical greenhouse “Burgers’ Bush”, Burgers’ Zoo, Arnhem, The Netherlands. In 2005 the second author collected a larger sample, which the first author recognized as Bradybaena similaris (Férussac, 1821). This snail was introduced unintentionally from an unknown source, probably with plant material. During joint visits by all authors in 2008 and 2009 the species was found abun- dantly. This probably represents the first published record of B. similaris from The Netherlands. The species was not mentioned by Meeuse & Hubert (1949) in their overview of Dutch greenhouse snails. We have searched in vain for records from other European countries.

Capinera2 Introduction Florida has only a few terrestrial slug species that are native (indigenous), but some non-native (nonindigenous) species have successfully established here. Many interceptions of slugs are made by quarantine inspectors (Robinson 1999), including species not yet found in the United States or restricted to areas of North America other than Florida. In addition to the many potential invasive slugs originating in temperate climates such as Europe, the traditional source of invasive molluscs for the US, Florida is also quite susceptible to invasion by slugs from warmer climates. ABSTRACT: Species of the genus Dendronotus are among the most common nudibranchs in the northern Hemisphere. However, their distribution and composition in the North-west Pacific remain poorly explored. In the present study, we observed Dendronotus composi- tion in northwestern part of the Sea of Japan, using an integrative approach, included morphological and molecular phylogenetic analyses and molecular species delimitation methods. These multiple methods revealed high cryptic diversity within the genus. Two specimens of Dendronotus frondosus were found in Amursky Bay and therefore its amphiboreal status was confirmed. In three locations of the Sea of Japan we found specimens, which are very close externally to D. frondosus, but show significant distance according to molecular analysis. We show that these specimens belong to a new species Dendronotus dudkai sp.n.

Several factors play an important role in changes of the distribution of these species: ecological (climate change), ethological (passive dispersal potencial) and economic (increasing traffic as a vector of spreading). The spreading of M. cartusiana has a rapidly increasing trend. More than half sites in the Czech Republic were colonised by this species in 2000–2010. While the spread of C. nemoralis has been continuous during the last century, the rapid range extension was recorded in the last two decades. A ki- advány – Magyarországi pleisztocén és recens malakológiai bibliográfia címen – igyekezett áttekintést adni mindazokról a munkákról, melyek Magyarország területén végzett kutatá- sok eredményeit tartalmazták. Az összeállítás Magyarország alatt az adott munka megjele- nési idejének megfelelő ország területét vette alapul. Jelen összeállítás is követi ezt az alap- elvet, de a fentieken túl tartalmaz minden olyan munkát is, mely magyar szerzők nevéhez fűződően hazánkon kívüli területek malakológiai anyagának feldolgozását tartalmazza, vagy valamilyen formában kapcsolatba került a magyarországi malakológiai kutatásokkal (pl. VERDCOURT 2004). Az 1983-ban megjelent kiadványt követően egyre gyakrabban jelentkezett az igény, hogy az időközben fellelt, s a kötetből kimaradt régebbi irodalmi adatok, illetve az eltelt időszak- ban elvégzett munkák összegzése is jelenjen meg. Ennek az igénynek igyekezett eleget tenni az 1991-ben PERJÉSI György és HORVÁTH Csaba által összeállított munka, „Magyarországi pleisztocén és recens malakológiai bibliográfia (Pótlás)” a Malakológiai Tájékoztató 10. (1991) kötetében, majd ugyancsak ez a szerzőpáros készítette el az időközben megjelent újabb dolgozatok bibliográfiáját: „Magyarországi pleisztocén, quarter és recens malakológiai bibliográfia 1980-1990.” (sic!) címmel a Malakológiai Tájékoztató 11. (1992) kötetében. A fentiekben megjelent munkák óta eltelt közel negyed század ismét felvetette az igényt, hogy készüljön egy új, részben eltérő szerkesztési elveket követő munka, melynek céljai közt szerepel, hogy egyrészt összevonja a MERÉNYI, PERJÉSI & HORVÁTH féle össze- állításokat, másrészt az anyagot 2004-ig bezáróan kiegészítse az időközben megjelent dol- gozatokkal.
