9A CW Award CW contacts made with 9A stations. There are three levels of the award: Bronze 25 2 x CW QSO’s, Silver 50 2 x CW QSO’s Gold 75 2 x CW QSO’s.

Worked 9A Locators Award The objective of the award is to stimulate activity from all grid squares in the Republic of Croatia. Only contacts made on 50 MHz and above are valid for this award and no repeaters. The award can be issued for three different levels, either mixed band or single band: 3rd level – 6 grid squares minimum, 2nd level – 10 grid squares minimum and 1st level – all 15 grid squares. Grid squares available in 9A are: JN 64, 65, JN 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, JN 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, JN 92, 94, 95.

Worked 9A Counties Award The objective of the award is to stimulate amateur radio activity from all 21 counties in the Republic of Croatia, as well as to encourage the participation in the 9A contests from all parts of the country. Islands of Croatia Award

Award is presented by the National Croatian Tourist Board in cooperation with the Croatian ARA. or provide contacts from islands of Croatia; chasers, activators and SWL’s respectively. Chasers must submit QSL cards or copies of the cards. Any QSLs deemed to have been altered will be disallowed. Activators must show evidence that they have made a minimum of 50 contacts from each island claimed and proof of operation is required, such as photographic or paper authorizations. Activators may count their activity towards the chasers award. Contacts must be made from the same country and made since 26 June 1991 on any HF band 1.8 up to and including 50MHz. Maritime contacts NOT allowed.

Islands of Croatia Directory costs 8 IRCs or 10€ and should be used for any application. This cost includes the cost of the basic certificate. Bronze, Silver and Gold levels cost 8€ or 10 IRCs plus 4 IRCs or 5€ for QSL return postage. All levels of the lOCA award are free of charge for activators. Plaque and trophies costs 25 IRCs. On applying for the Basic award, applicants should send only sufficient postage for the return of their QSL or they will be returned via the bureaus if needed. Croatian IOTA Hunters Group Award (CIHG) Any licenced amateur or SWL can qualify as a CIHG member and earn a special certificate by working (or SWLing) a minimum of 100 different IOTA references after 5 July,1992. CROATIAN IOTA REFERENCE AWARD Croatian IOTA Hunters Group issue the Croatian IOTA Reference Award, available to all licensed hams and SWLs. The purpose of the award is to promote operation from beautiful Croatian islands, and stimulate hams from Croatia and all over the world to activate Croatian IOTA references. Contacts after 5 July 1992. The award is issued in 2 levels: a) SILVER – BASIC b) GOLD – ENDORSEMENT The award is issued in the following categories:CW, PHONE and MIXED; all short_wave QSOs count, WARC bands included. The award is also available for 50MHz/6M and for 144MHz/2M as well, but in MIXED level only. Repeater, packet radio or satellite QSOs do NOT count for the award. SILVER award requirements: 3 confirmed IOTAs from 9A; GOLD endorsement requirements: ALL 9A_IOTAs (currently 5 IOTAs: EU_016, EU_090, EU_110, EU_136, EU_170 ). Award Fee is $US5 or 5€. Croatian Lighthouse Award (CLHA) Sponsored by the Croatian IOTA Hunters Group _ CIHG , in collaboration with Croatian Amateur Radio Association. The award pays tribute to people located on small, desolate islands and islets, daily exposed to hardship and danger, and we acknowledge and honour their dedicated work. The award encourages amateur radio activity from Croatian lighthouses. . The award is available for both working and operating/activating Croatian lighthouses. All QSOs after 1st July, 2000 are valid. Each recognized lighthouse is allocated its permanent CLH reference number (ie, lighthouse Palagruza is CLH_100). Special rules for activators. A list of all Croatian lighthouses for CLHA is obtainable from the Award manager on request. List is free of charge, however, return postage cover is required ($US3 or 6 IRCs). Each award applicant needs a CLHA Directory. Application sheet is inside this Directory and each activator or award applicant must fill it out and return to Award manager. Available to all licenced radio amateurs and SWLs and may be earned for CW, SSB or MIXED contacts. All bands. Requirements: 1. CPA SILVER : 50 points + 1 Croatian IPA member + 3 IPA countries 2. CPA GOLD : 100 points + 1 Croatian IPA member + 5 IPA countries 3. CPA MEDAL : 200 points +1 Croatian IPA member + 10 IPA countries. 4. Work Croatian Prefixes Award Issued for confirmed contacts with Croatian amateur radio stations with different prefixes on or after 5 July 1992. The basic award Class I requires 3 different, and Class II needs 2. The 9A-PFX Gold Medal requires 5 different 9A prefixes, and the 9A-PFX Trophy requires 10 different 9A prefixes. For each class, you may substitute one time any special 9A prefix: e.g. 9A2000, 9A900, 9A700. May be endorsed for all: CW, Phone, RTTY and Mixed. All bands, including WARC allowed. The diploma is available for both 50 MHz and 144 MHz contacts as well, but only in the Mixed category. No use of repeaters, packet radio or satellite. SWL OK. MARKO POLO AWARD Offered by the "Marko Polo" International Center and Radio Club "Korcula" 9A1CLM to publicize the historical links between this well_known world traveler and the town of Korcula. SWL OK. All contacts must be made from the same country or or after 5 July 1992. Requirements: make one QSO with Marco Polo’s home town of Korcula, Croatia and at least 20 confirmed contacts with DXCC countries that are geographically located on the historical Silk Road. World Lighthouse Diploma Series General Requirements : Contacts must have been made since 1 Jan 2000. Any lighthouses under the CLH, ARLH, LH or WLH reference system which are also found on the TWLH list are recognized as valid for purposes of this award. SWL OK. The awards are available to be endorsed for CW, Phone, RTTY or Mixed. All bands OK, including WARC. Separate endorsement for 50MHz/6m also available. No use of relay stations, satellite, packet or telephone is permitted. You must possess the cards. GCR list is accepted and must include all QSO information plus reference number (CLH, ARLH, LH or WLH) identifying the location, plus the name of the lighthouse.
