Enjoyed seeing Princess Bubblegum and Marceline having adventures but honestly it kinds bugs em that they are trying to force "are they or aren't they" relationship. They are friends! Nothing more! Just a quick review of this, as it's pretty similar to all the previous volumes. The relationships between the characters are nice in this, especially regarding PB and Marceline. The stories are funny, weird and super enjoyable, full of humour and colour and adventure duh. The fourth wall is, of course, practically nonexistent, as the commentary along the bott Just a quick review of this, as it's pretty similar to all the previous volumes. The fourth wall is, Adventure Time: Volume 5 course, practically nonexistent, as the commentary along the bottom of the pages addresses the audience directly. It really immerses you in the world of Finn and Jake, as well as adding another layer of humour. The commentary makes these comics unique from most others. The art is awesome. I still love looking through the gallery of covers at the end. The colours are so vivid and the styles are all so wonderful. It's one of the nicest comics to just Adventure Time: Volume 5 at. Of course, it is kinda childish. But it's an easy and relaxing read, and there are some very subtle jokes and comments that only older readers will understand. It's a really fun read, and I love all the characters so much! I'm not sure what specifically keeps me coming back to Adventure Time. The weirdness and creativity are surely important, but it might just be the colors. In Volume Five, Princess Bubblegum and Marceline need to save the Candy Kingdom from the bubblegum that has overtaken the brains of its people. The semi-sentient bubblegum was PB's fault to begin with of course, in all of her mad scientists-ness. PB finally discover the acidic solution to their problems as they employ the help of Adventure Time: Volume 5 um I am specifically enjoying the backstory and development of Bubblegum's and Marceline's friendships. Five stars for another fast-paced, quirky Adventure! Once again we have our first issue which plays with storytelling ftw with a first person POV comic, which was delightful. And then we have a run of comics about one of Princess Adventure Time: Volume 5 experiments gone wrong. With Lemongrab! And also we get to see Marceline and PB working together which is always fun. We don’t talk about liches nearly enough—their cousin the zombie gets far more attention. But the lich is a much more interesting creature, a human willfully transformed into something undead and powerful. I think Dismukes’ liches are particularly motivated and interesting, and I look forward to sharing them with you all.
