Role & Responsibilities)

I am a member of the Isle of Anglesey Charitable Trust (I attended 4 meetings).

I was nominated as Customer Service Champion and sat on the Customer Service Excellence Project Board which is part of the Council’s transformation agenda.

Constituency Activity I have provided support for all my constituents and am available at all times through my home telephone number and my mobile. I run a farming business in the ward and, through this, have a very high profile and, in consequence, have a very high constituency workload which I enjoy.

I am Chairman of Governors of and Newborough Schools and a Governor of Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni. I have also attended meetings of 3 Community Councils in my ward and also Malltraeth Ymlaen, a very active community group.

Initiatives & Special Activities

I supported local communities and residents in the ward affected by the inclement weather experienced during the past winter. I co-operated with utilities companies to deal with sewerage problems and leaking pipes in and ensured that Welsh Water dealt promptly with such matters. During the year I also lobbied for a new improved surface on the footpath for the elderly outside the Rhos Residential Home and many other good and deserving causes.

Other Activities & Issues

Having lived, run a business, employed and trained staff here in Ynys Môn for the last 40 years, I spend a lot of time helping and supporting people less fortunate than myself through references and advice over a whole range of matters.
