Shiva Minyan Siddur Update 7-10-19 AN EVENING SERVICE IN A PERIOD OF MOURNING Kehilla Community Synagogue The Meditations of Our Hearts The meditations of our hearts are not always “acceptable” to you, our Source, or even to ourselves. Sometimes our thoughts are bitter with anger, and sometimes they are sour with remorse. Sometimes they are dark with doubt, and sometimes they are heavy with despair. We acknowledge that we are creatures of many moods; our emotions may reflect our inner turmoil and deep distress. Help us to cope with our feelings with honesty and with patience. Help us to ponder the immediate in the perspective of the eternal. In our days of pain and anguish in our nights of tearful sorrow, give us faith to trust in the power of healing that you have implanted within us. Help us to draw strength from the assurance that divine and human lovingkindness has not departed from us; that we will yet know again the blessings of serenity and peace. From Psalm 4 (inspired by Stephen Mitchell’s interpretive translation) Even in the midst of great pain, Holy One, I praise you for that which is. I will not refuse this grief or close myself to this anguish. Let shallow people pray for ease: ”Comfort us! Shield us from sorrow,” they cry. But as for me, I pray for whatever you send me, and I ask to receive it as your gift. You’ve put a joy in my heart greater than all the world’s riches. I lie down trusting the darkness, for I know that even now you are here. h!"e§s#m h$¥v%O¡t h°b$¯b&g h'"t§r¨e(C :h)",*K#p§T g+©n§JU h°b!¯B¨,j h·#K ¨T(c-©j§r"v r*M./C :v-h Wh-®b*P rI01t Ubh2k*g3v¨x)±b cI+y 4Ub5¥t§r6h3h)"n %oh"r§n«t oh+#C©r :UC)¨r o-¨JIrh)",±u o07b7d§S ,12g¥n h·#C#k(c v-¨j§n"G v¨T-©,7b v-h v-¨T©t3h)#F i+¨Jh4"t±u v5*c(F§J¤t %u¨S§j6h oI-k¨J(C :h°b)2ch"JIT j©y!8c*,k s5¨s*c(k Evening Service During a Time of Mourning 7/2019 Page 1 The Shema and Its Blessings Bar’chu – Call to Worship Leader: Barchu et Adonai ha-m' vorach Q¨r«c§n©v ²h±h",¤t Uf§r#C All and then Leader: Baruch Adonai ha-m'vorach l-olam va-ed s#g!u o#kIg$k Q¨r«c§n©v !h±h QUr#C Alternative: Bar’chu, Dear One, Shechina, Holy Name. Evening Service During a Time of Mourning 7/2019 Page 2 Ahavat Olam: Reflections on Eternal Love With everlasting love you have loved us, revealing Yourself through Torah and mitzvot. Your love is also revealed through our dear ones whose love has been a blessing in our lives. For we have known the blessing of love and caring, and love cannot take these gifts from us. Your love is revealed as well in our strength to carry on, to find our way again. For while pain and suffering are real, Your healing power is at work in our lives, enabling us to endure our sorrow, to transform our pain, and to find courage to go on. From the darkness of our grief, may rays of understanding shine forth, that we may grow in wisdom and perform deeds of lovingkindness, nurturing our heritage of love and Torah which reveal Your presence anew in every age. Ahava Prayer by Rami Shapiro We are loved by an unending love. We are embraced by arms that find us even when we are hidden from ourselves. We are touched by fingers that soothe us even when we are too proud for soothing. We are counseled by voices that guide us even when we are too embittered to hear. We are loved by an unending love. We are supported by hands that uplift us even in the midst of a fall. We are urged on by eyes that meet us even when we are too weak for meeting. We are loved by an unending love. Embraced, touched, smoothed, and counseled… ours are the arms, the fingers, the voices; ours are the hands, the eyes, the smiles; We are loved by an unending love. ¨T§s)©n#k Ub)¨,It 'oh"y*P§J"nU oh"Eªj ',I(m"nU v¨rIT '¨T(c)¨v¨t W§N.g k¥t¨r§J°h ,h2C o*kIg ,.c£v©t Wh)¤,I(m"n(cU W)¤,¨rI, h¥r(c"s(C j©n§G°b±u 'Wh¤Eªj(C ©jh)"G7b Ub)¥nUe(cU Ub)2c(f¨J(C 'Ubh)¥vO¡t 7h±h i2F k.g rh"x¨T k©t W§,*c£v©t±u 'v*k±h)*k7u o¨nIh v®D§v®b o¤v*cU 'ubh)¥n7h Q¤r)«t±u Ubh)¯H©j o¥v h#F /s8g7u o*kIg(k /oh"n*kIg(k UB)¤N"n :k¥t¨r§G°h IN.g c¥vIt '7h±h v¨T©t QUr*C :v*c£v©t k*f(C ,8c¥vIt 'v7bh#f§a v*fUr(C §T©t Evening Service During a Time of Mourning 7/2019 Page 3 Blessed are you Shechina, loving in all love. This paper addresses localization from a game development perspective by studying the state of tool support for a localization work in general purpose game engines. Using a systematic mapping study, the most commonly used game engines and their official tool libraries are studied. The results indicate that even though localization tools exists for the game engines included in the study, the visibility, availability, and functionality differ. Localization tools that are user facing, i.e., used to create localization, are scarce while many are tool facing, i.e., used to import localization kits made outside the production pipeline. 1. This escapism gives rise to indulgences. Products of such indulgence are the video games people play. Back in the past the term ―game engine‖ did not exist. Back then, video games were considered by most adults to be nothing more than toys, and the software that made them tick was highly specialized to both the game and the hardware on which it ran. Today, video game industry is a multi-billion-dollar industry rivaling even the Hollywood. The software that drives these three dimensional worlds- the game engines-have become fully reusable software development kits. In this paper, I discuss the specifications of some of the top contenders in video game engines employed in the market today. I also try to compare up to some extent these engines and take a look at the games in which they are used. Keywords – engines comparison, engines overview, engines specification, video games, video game engines I. INTRODUCTION 1.1.2 Artists Back in the past the term ―game engine‖ did The artists produce all of the visual and audio not exist. Back then, video games were considered by content in the game, and the quality of their work can most adults to be nothing more than toys, and the literally make or break a game.
