Established in 1869, the Art Academy of Cincinnati has a rich heritage of great art and great art instruction. Since its earliest beginnings, the Art Academy has educated many accomplished artists and designers, provided personalized attention to students, and touched Cincinnatians’ lives through community education. Now located in historic Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati, , this private, not-for-profit institution of higher education is well positioned as an anchor for the creative artistic community in a vibrant and growing arts district.

Our mission as an independent college of art and design is to provide personalized education in the visual arts. Our vision is to excel and to be recognized as a vibrant, creative community dedicated to engaging innovative visual artists who make meaningful contributions to the world.
