Their first album featuring the lineup of Burke Shelley, Tony Bourge (Guitars) and Ray Phillips (Drums) was released in 1971 and the band began touring relentlessly both in the United States and Europe. The album releases and worldwide tours continued at a very high pace throughout the 70’s and early 80’s as Budgie released ten studio albums and continued touring in support of each album.

People’s desire and need to visit these events only seems to increase. Cultural tourism and music tourism has developed into a significant and important part of the experience industry and it employs more and more people within the tourism industry. The purpose of this paper is to investigate which effects this can have on the local community. Focus is held on the touristic and economic impact on the nearby municipality and region. The paper is based on a case study on Sweden Rock Festival, which is one of Swedens largest music festivals with a heavy-metal direction. Sweden Rock Festival is located in the south of Sweden in a small municipality called Sölvesborg. Sölvesborg has about 17 000 inhabitants and each year some 33 200 festival visitors decend on the area to attend the festival. To investigate the touristic and economic impact that Sweden Rock Festival has on Sölvesborg, interviews have been conducted. These interviews have been done by either telephone or by e-mail with people from the municipality, the Sweden Rock Festival organization and people with connections to the local business life. Also, two experienced festival attenders have been interviewed to investigate the visitors use of the area’s supply of tourism attractions besides Sweden Rock Festival.

Sans doute, encore, est-ce le fait de changer de label, passant de RCA à EMI. Sans doute, enfin, que la nationalité même du groupe fut un rempart contre le Punk qui a dévasté les plus grands noms de l’époque. Les conseils du producteur Dieter DIERKS expliquent également certainement le succès fulgurant remporté par ce cinquième album studio des SCORPIONS. Let’s explain… …Only two years ago, dynamic frontwoman and world-class vocalist Jennifer Haben and her band colleagues celebrated their live debut on stage at the legendary Wacken Open Air 2014. A few months later they were supporting the legendary SAXON on their UK tour. Eine Aus- stellung des "Rock und Pop Museums" in Gronau blickt jetzt auf die 40-jährige Bandge- schichte zurück. MANUSKRIPT SPRECHERIN: "Rock You Like a Hurricane" – ein Klassiker von den Scorpions. "Rock You Like A Hurri- cane" – das ist auch der Titel der Ausstellung über die Scorpions. Das "Rock und Pop Mu- seum" im nordrhein-westfälischen Gronau dokumentiert das Lebenswerk der Band, die auszog , um Geschichte zu schreiben. KLAUS MEINE (Sänger der Scorpions): Wenn man durch die Ausstellung geht, dann füllen sich diese 40 Jahre mit Leben, an so vielen Zeitabschnitten und mit so vielen Dokumenten. KLAUS MEINE: Das waren wirklich Jahre, die die Foundation gelegt haben, den Grund gelegt haben für eine spätere Weltkarriere, wo man wirklich … wo man gespürt hat, da sind die richtigen Leute zusammen, da ist die … die Chemie ist stark, das sind alles Musiker, die wirklich bereit sind, alles dafür zu geben und wirklich diesen Traum zu leben . SPRECHERIN: Der Traum beginnt Mitte der 60er Jahre, als Schüler eine Band in der Nähe von Hannover gründen. Die Musiker um Gitarrist Rudolf Schenker, hier ganz rechts im Bild, sind von der englischen Beat- und Rockmusik infiziert. We also have recently reviewed your new project, under the name Nordic Union, which is a really cool album. What is the reception so far, from the media, the fans? Are you satisfied with it? I would say, the reception has been fantastic, its phenomenal to be honest. The reviews are great, it's even getting airplay on the radio, it's getting on the charts, even the mainstream medias in Sweden are picking it up and writing about it. I never ever experienced that they write about something like this. Yes, I just saw that you posted that you are on nu. 4 or nu. 5 on the Swedish hard rock charts today, which is really good. You never had any prior success on the charts with your other bands or projects? Yes, with Eclipse and with W.E.T. we actually went to nu.1, a couple of years ago. If it wasn't, well I mean, that almost the same day Dream Theater released their album, just one week earlier Megadeth and Avantasia the same day, there are so many good bands and big names. If we would have released it a month later, maybe the competition would not have been so big, maybe we could have landed on nu. 1 Yes, so I wanted to ask you, you have collaborated for Nordic Union with a very big singer, Ronnie Atkins.
