But a recent article in The New York Times has reported on some teenaged girls who have either stopped or limited their access to social media, mainly because they suspected they were wasting too much time. And, interestingly, they found that life offline was actually richer and more productive. Weaning themselves off the constant stream of on-line ‘friends’ left them with more time for real world socializing. Duh! This year, The Curatorial Incubator, v7 – FRAK FACEBOOK: celebrating the anti-social called for proposals to participate in this research and presentation project that aims to uncover works that buck the current trend of “social networking” and “living in public” that is so now.
