Neimënster and den Atelier with put together their efforts in 2017 for a 1st edition of the Siren’s Call Festival, where the audience was able to experience the Grund area from a brand new perspective. The 2017 event hosted a fantastic mix of new, international and local artists from multiple genres performing on various stages in the authentic Grund area. Formed by Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden in 2002 they already achieved great success with their debut album “Oracular Spectacular” in late 2007, containing at least three hit singles with “Time to Pretend”, “Electric Feel” and “Kids”. The band was then enlisted to play major festivals all over the planet. Their forthcoming fourth studio album “Little Dark Age” will be released on February 9th. Eels Eels began life as another offbeat college rock band but have become a fascinating, flexible vehicle for Everett's strengths as a perversely uplifting songwriter. Eels mastermind Mark Oliver Everett, aka E, has not suffered a shortage of critical acclaim over the past twenty years. ”The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett” marks the 11th full-length release for EELS, whose debut “Beautiful Freak” was released in 1996. In addition to the recordings, Everett has embarked on a number of non-musical projects as well, including an acclaimed book and a multiple-award winning documentary. Parcels Young Berlin-based Australian band parcels embarked on a journey, leaving Australia in the age of 18. Parcels became widely known for their collaboration with Daft Punk in 2017. “Overnight”, co-written and produced by the French duo marked the break-through for their smooth disco pop in Europe, well in line with the sound of PHOENIX and Classixx. Fishbach Hailing from a small French town, young Flora Fischbach played in several bands before she began writing her own songs. She then started recording her 1st demos; only equipped with a laptop, a microphone and her Telecaster guitar. the electro-pop singer released her much-anticipated debut album 'A ta merci' in January 2017. Drops & Points by Pascal Schumacher feat. Maxime Delpierre Becoming increasingly interested in electronic music, Pascal Schumacher disbanded his jazz quartet and departed on an electronic journey with French guitarist Maxime Delpierre. Despite its consistent minimalism, Drops & Points features a large array of booming, fizzing, sizzling and prickling sounds. It is the musicians’ capacity for spontaneous passion that turned this blind date into a great collaboration. Superorganism A Transatlantic group, who feature Maine, New England-based, Japanese vocalist Orono and a sprawling line up of international musicians / pop culture junkies currently living all under one roof in London’s east end. The band first introduced themselves at the start of 2017 with the idiosyncratic, technicolour pop of ’Something For Your M.I.N.D’. Since then, they’ve been on a runaway train of success. Klangstof The Dutch-born, Norway-raised Van De Wardt is a craftsman when constructing the chilling sound that comprises his stunning debut album, ‘Close Eyes to Exit’. In short time, creating music became an almost manic pursuit for the fledging musician. He’d lock himself in his parent’s basement, master one instrument after the next, tinker on his laptop for hours at a time, searching for the perfect sound. Aldous Harding An artist of rare caliber, Aldous Harding does more than sing; she conjures a singular intensity. Renowned for the captivating state of possession she occupies in live performance, Aldous Harding has won crowds the world over playing alongside Deerhunter, Frankie Cosmos and Perfume Genius, as well as at SXSW, Festival Les Indisciplinées, Rolling Stone Weekender, Visions Festival, The Great Escape, Golden Plains and more. Molécule (live) Paris-based artist Molécule ventured out to Greenland for his latest release ‘-22.7°C’, named after the lowest temperature recorded during his trip to the confines of the Arctic Circle. Out of this voluntary exile emerged a taut and contemplative album. At once concrete and cosmic, Molécule’s techno was transcended by this voyage to the end of the earth, in a kind of mise en abyme of the quest for self-knowledge. With -22.7°C Molécule delivers the adventurous and immersive soundtrack to a re-connection with nature. Adam Naas Adam Naas may be only in his mid-twenties but his soul-man voice is a rare phenomenon. His soberly romantic, contemporary dark soul that never stops posturing leaves a powerful impression. And writing his songs himself, he transmutes his personal experiences into universal emotions. His first EP will be released on Virgin/Mercury. THEM LIGHTS Sacha Hanlet a.k.a. THEM LIGHTS is a singer/ songwriter and musician based in Luxembourg. When he was introduced to Michael Jackson’s Thriller for the first time as a kid, his passion for groove and melody awoke and marked him forever. At the end of 2016, the time had come to live this love and passion to its full extent and write his debut songs as THEM LIGHTS, finally creating and performing his own mysterious universe of dark, edgy and soulful R’n’B. Ryvage Luxembourg based electronic musician Samuel Reinard produces synthwave and electronic pop under the moniker Ryvage. Influenced by musical references from the sci-fi genre, industrial-tinged electronica and contemporary producers like Jon Hopkins, Rone and Son Lux, his versatile and narrative tracks invite the listener to an intense and emotional ride of ethereal synth-scapes, beat driven walls of sounds and processed vocals. Produced in isolation and driven by the love of contrasts, Ryvage’s music explores the fine line between harmony and chaos and celebrates the confluence of opposites. Stefanie Sargnagel Austrian author and artist won the Public’s Price at the 2016 Bachmann literary awards and is well-known for her often satirical and cynical comments on social media, regularly targeting Austria’s far-right. She was subject of a hailstorm of hate messages on Facebook following a satirical diary of a publicly-funded trip to Morocco and torturing cats. She is member of the feminist fraternity “Hysteria”, which imitates the demeanor of male fraternities. Claudine Muno The Luxembourgish artist, musiscian and author, internationally known for “The Luna Boots”, is not set to anything. Claudine Muno has many talents and her publications include “The Moon of the Big Winds”, “Träume, aus denen man zu spat aufwacht” and “Dem Zoe seng Geschichten”. Multidisciplinary is probably what describes her the best. Lucas Vogelsang Berlin-born Lucas Vogelsang is one of the most successful journalists of his generation. Early works include long reads in the German football magazine 11Freunde, Tagesspiegel, Die Zeit as well as a column in the German Playboy magazine. In 2010 Lucas Vogelsang received the Henri Nannen Prize and in 2013 the German Reporter Award. In 2015 Lucas was awarded with the Hansel Mith Prize for his coverage about an apartment block in Berlin Wedding. His first book “Heimaterde” covers the topic Heimat from the perspective of a journey through the country. ALL THIS INFORMATION MUST BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL UNTIL MONDAY, JANUARY 22ND 2018 AT 10:30AM. .
