Will miss several games due to knee injury 2009 Iona College Women’s Basketball MAAC Championship Media Guide Page 2 A SEASON TO REMEMBER In 2007-08, Iona turned in its third consecutive winning season, posting a 20-14 overall record and an 11-7 mark in the MAAC. The 20 wins were the program’s second-most in Division I and the Gaels finished in second place in the MAAC for only the second time. The team made its second-ever postseason appearance, advancing to the second round of the WNIT. Iona also had two All-MAAC Second 2008-09 MAAC STANDINGS Team selections (Tiara Headen, Anna McLean), five All-Academic selections, and two members named to the MAAC Championship All-Tournament team MAAC Overall (Headen, Lauren DeFalco). McLean claimed a top spot in the Iona record book, W L Pct W L Pct becoming the school’s all-time blocks leader as a junior.
