Museo nazionale del Palazzo di Venezia "When Art Was Everything"

One of the most important collections of medieval and is housed at Museo di Palazzo Venezia. There are Renaissance , painted wooden and chests from all over , tapestries from elsewhere in Europe, Neapolitan ceramics, silverware, suits of armor, and by Peter1936F 17th and 18t Century paintings. One of the most dramatic pieces is a 13th Century enameled Byzantine Christ. There are also terracotta studies by Bernini for construction of the Triton fountain and the decoration of Castel Sant'Angelo.

Galleria Colonna "Just Like Versailles"

This gallery is attached to and is made up of six rooms, richly decorated with ceiling frescoes and a host of beautiful paintings like 's il Mangiafagioli. There are also two writing desks, which are marvelous works of art and well worth seeing. The first desk is decorated in semi-precious stone with bronze statuettes and the second is decorated with inlaid ivory. Unfortunately, this splendid gallery is only open once a week, but it is definitely worth visiting in order to see these unique pieces.

Doria Pamphilj Gallery "Art & Refinement"

Palazzo Doria Pamphilj built in the 17th Century was once the home to Roman royalty. It now houses one of the most prestigious art collections in the city. This collection features some of the most iconic artworks from Renaissance era. Amongst the most celebrated masterpieces found here are - 's Salomé with Head of John the Baptist (1515), 's by GiacomoReturned Saletta del Cinquecento and Mary Magdalene by Caracci, to name a few. Other artists showcased here are , , Duquesnoy among others.

Accademia Nazional di San Luca was established as an artists' guild in 1577, back when it was known as just Accademia di San Luca. Even today, its aim is the appreciation of art, and to create an atmosphere in which artists and craftsmen may flourish. To this end, the association has put together a collection of fine art, commonly known as Galleria dell'Accademia di San Luca. The gallery, situated on the third floor, is home to some beautiful sculptures and paintings, and the collection even includes numerous portraits.

"Three Great Architects"

The National Gallery of Ancient Art (Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica) houses works by Caravaggio, Raffaello, Tintoretto, and Holbein, among many others. These paintings belong to the Barberini family's massive by Jean-Pierre Dalbéra from collection, most of which is scattered all over the world. Baroque Paris, France architects Maderno, Bernini, and Borromini designed the palace. Two grand staircases lead to the main floor: the larger one was designed by Bernini and the smaller, oval construction by Borromini. On the first floor, the large ceiling of the Salone (main hall) was covered in frescoed by Piertro da Cortona and depicts the triumph of Pope Urban VIII. You'll notice the Bernini family symbol, a bee, painted or sculpted almost everywhere in the building.

Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica di Palazzo Corsini "History on Stage"

Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica di Palazzo Corsini is a slice of Roman history. Bramante and Michelangelo stayed here, and Queen Cristina of Sweden died in one of the palazzo's apartments in 1689. In 1736, the palace was completely transformed into a residence for Cardinal Corsini. by AlexanderVanLoon Works by Rubens, Van Dyck and Murillo are on display, as well as Caravaggio's Narcissus. Other artists include Guercino and Fra Angelico. The Palazzo is also the seat of the Accademia dei Lincei, a cultural training center that started in the 15th Century. Galileo Galilei was among one of its members. The palazzo was the backdrop for the clash between the papalists and the Republicans in 1797 that saw the death of General Francese Duphot.

Galleria Borghese "Soñando a Paolina"
