Families were given the choice a few weeks ago to change their learning method for the second semester.

The school board meeting on what to do for the second semester will be held on Dec. 8.

That includes focusing on those living or working in congregate living facilities such as prisons or nursing homes.

Until several years ago, some cadets were required to salute the Confederate statue.

VMI's board voted to remove it after The Washington Post published a story describing an "atmosphere of hostility and cultural insensitivity."
