Chaz Breaks Leg As Horror Crash Cruels Bathurst SATURDAY OCTOBER 10 2015 SPORT 45 Mavericks next foe for Strike NT STRIKE will wind up their 2015 SACA Premier League campaign with a two-day game against Northern Mav- ericks in Adelaide. Papua New Guinea will tackle the Southern Force and Eastern Edge will meet West- ern Grit in the other matches. “I’m really pleased to see that our batting is finding form, with Ben Reichstein’s faultless 104 in our last match a highlight,’’ coach David King said. “Strong performances from Jake Weatherald, Jacob Dickman and Jacob Dick also supported our victory over the Western Grit. “Joel Logan and Lachlan Griffiths have been bowling strongly and we plan to carry this into our last two-day match this weekend.’’ King said the unavailability of Nathan Price and Kyle Scri- megour because of grade crick- et requirements interstate had been balanced by Ryan Schi- manski’s return to the top order batting, along with Alice Springs fast medium bowler Daniel Clarke. “The Northern Mavericks are looking strong for the Chaz Mostert of Prodrive Racing Australia crashes during Bathurst 1000 qualifying yesterday. PRTC NETWORKING EVENT QUEENSLAND Date: Wednesday 5th September 2018 Time: 6.00pm -9.00pm Venue: Fulcrum Suspensions 73-77 Voyland Avenue Coopers Plains, QLD Cost: FREE for PRTC Members $15.00 for Non PRTC Members On behalf of the Performance, Racing & Tuning Council, we invite you to join fellow PRTC & AAAA members for an industry wide networking event. Robert Johnson, National Membership Development Manager of the AAAA and Convenor of the PRTC, will update you on a range of industry wide initiatives including the proposed Innovation Laboratory, as well as key activities and services undertaken by the PRTC and the association. Chaz Mostert, driver of the #55 Ford Falcon FG X, will be our special guest for this event. As the 2014 Bathurst winner and second to team-mate Mark Winterbottom in the championship at the time, Mostert’s Supercars career was temporarily halted by a major crash during qualifying at Mount Panorama in 2015. Mostert was left with a broken leg, wrist and knee complications and missed the rest of the season, but claimed pole position on his return at Adelaide in 2016. While he couldn’t add to his win tally that year, Mostert was one of the standout drivers in 2017, taking three victories and remaining in title contention until the Newcastle finale. Winning the PIRTEK Enduro Cup along the way with Steve Owen, Mostert ultimately took a career-best fifth in the championship. This year marks the eighth of Mostert’s relationship with the Ford squad, which signed him in 2011 while impressing with Miles Racing in the Dunlop Super2 Series.
