  • John Fogerty Is Rehearsing for His first Extended Live Shows in More Than a Decade
May 21, 1997--- LOS ANGELES---The clouds of mystery are lifting over the mountainside studio where John Fogerty is rehearsing for his first extended live shows in more than a decade. Wearing a green plaid workshirt and pressed blue jeans, the creative force behind Creedence Clearwater Revival is preparing to hit the road to promote his new "Blue Moon Swamp" record, released Tuesday on Warner Bros. But the majority of the dates in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago will consist of Creedence hits. Fronting a quartet, Fogerty will even play some of the classics through vintage '60s gear. Fogerty has never leaned on Creedence songs as a solo act. Coming to terms with the past may account for the clarity of "Blue Moon Swamp." Full of dobros, guitars and passionate vocals, it is Fogerty's most rootsy album since his self-titled 1975 solo debut. Then again, maybe the clarity was already in place. "It came first," Fogerty says before rehearsal. "I get a lot of the clarity from my wife, Julie (Kramer, who hails from Elkhart, Ind.). Her positiveness helps me every day. That spilled over into my directness with the music, and I became very clear with who I should be. And that's a good thing to know, because there's been times in my life where I wasn't that sure. "(The dark, high-tech 1986 release) `Eye of the Zombie' is certainly a great example. So are some of the lost soul meanderings of the '70s, when I made an ill- fated record called `Whodo' that shows up in bootlegs at flea markets.

SNW 903 Blue Moon Nights vocal by: Wil Stans Release Date: Vinyl, MP3 and CD – 2009 / 02 Singing Call MS-61 ORIGINAL MUSIC DETAILS: WRITER : John Fogerty Hanhurst’s Best Seller listing (February 2009) – No. 4 PUBLISHERS : Cody River Music Original artist: John Fogerty John Fogerty (born May 28, 1945) is an American rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best known for his time with the Swamp Rock/Roots Rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. He was born in Berkeley, California and is the younger brother of Tom Fogerty, another CCR member. John began a solo career in 1973 and made his second comeback to the commercial music industry in 1997 with the album “Blue Moon Swamp” from which this tune is taken. This is an excellent “Swamp Rock” song that tells a simple tale about a man asking for some help to face the problems that life is throwing at him during “all those Blue Moon Nights”. This type of music is easily recorded in Nashville and is – very sadly – one of the last tunes that we have still to release, which features the Harmonica talents of Terry MacMillan. As you will hear the players had a great time with this tune, the result: a first class Square Dance song! Additional Lyrics: Where, When and Who produced the music: Help me fellas This was part of the eleventh group of releases on Sting and I'm feelin' kind-a weak Snow that were recorded in Nashville, during November The way I'm livin' just ain't right 2006. A total of fourteen songs were recorded during this I need somebody t' watch over me session, which was the sixth to be arranged and produced by All my blue moon nights Paul Bristow.

  • Rock Album Discography Last Up-Date: September 27Th, 2021
Rock Album Discography Last up-date: September 27th, 2021 Rock Album Discography “Music was my first love, and it will be my last” was the first line of the virteous song “Music” on the album “Rebel”, which was produced by Alan Parson, sung by John Miles, and released I n 1976. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.
