Boat trip to Alnes and Alnes Lighthouse The boat trip starts from the port of Ålesund at 10.00am every Wednesday, from the 29th of June to the 18th of August. The fi shing vessel Vikaskjær takes you to Alnes where we moor up walk inland. A quick visit to the lighthouse with coffee and Svele is recommended - a trip to the beautiful bathing beach on the west side of the island is also a good option. It is possible to take a walk on godøyfjellet for those who wish - This is a fan- tastic viewpoint and photo point out to sea to the west and over to Fuglefjellet! Valldal Nature Experiences have the areas of Gudbrandsjuvet, River Valldøla and Nordalsfjorden as their homegrounds. Rafting in Valldøla is very popular, and Valldal Nature Experiences offers two different rafting trips. There is a calmer trip, so that the whole family including children down to 10 years can participate. If one wants to experience more in Valldal there is canyoning in Gudbrandsju- vet, climbing, courses in canoeing and activities in a wilderness camp, where living in huts is among the choices. The climbing fi eld is 15- 20m high and has three different routes of varying diffi culty. Most activities last from 4-6 hours.

At Skaret, ten minutes by car from Molde,you will fi nd Skarstua, Klokkargår- den and Lysgården. Adventurous at Skaret Skaret is a great starting point for those who want to experience norwegian nature, culture and craft traditions. Klokkargården houses, and skaret crafts are to be found where there are ten craftsmen making the different pro- ducts, ranging from clothing, jewelry, and soaps, to timber products. In Lysgården they make candles. Skaret also has a mini farm including horses, goats and rabbits, and in the cafe you can sit back and enjoy local produce.

The Atlantic Sea Park is one of Northern Europes largest saltwater aquariums with a variety of fi sh and marine animals. The aquarium displays marine life from the inner fjord, through the coastal islets and reefs of the secretive Atlantic deep. In the open contact pool one can feel the fi sh and The sea and you... in the activity pools, one can even take on the exciting marine organisms, and fi sh crabs using shrimp and clothes-pegs as bait. A daily dive show in the Great Atlantic tank (nearly 4 million gallons salt water) is a spectacular experience.The diver and feeders almost disappear in the herd of ravenous halibut, , conger, and catfi sh. The fi sh are fed each day at 13.00pm and the penguins are fed at 14.30.

Romsdals museum is a town and village museum in Molde centre. The museum consists of about 35 houses, which show Romsdal traditions and way of life from 1600 – to the 1900s. The houses have been collected from when the museum began in 1912, and the area is divided into several sections. A few farm houses have also been collected from their own pasture environment, including a chapel which is used for weddings. The area also houses a picturesque duck pond and a stage space which is used annually during Molde Jazz. Romsdal Museum provides guided tours, around - stua, Holtstua, Hammervollstua, Eidestua and Erik Palgården Garden. Romsdalsmuseet also has a city street, a Molde in mini format as it would have been before the Great Fire of 1916 and the bombing in 1940. The street consists of six houses, and one of the houses holds Mali’s Cafe which is open during the summer months. Guri Centre The Guri Centre is a new adventure, and viewing centre with the state of the art exhibition ”Meetings with the wind ”as one of the main attractions. Smøla has a wind farm, and the exhibition is a great oppurtunity to see and experience the rest of Smøla. The presentation consists of audio guides, animations, interactive stations and original arti- cles binding the stories together. At the centre you can also fi nd a large outdoor amphitheater seating about 1,000 spectators. The performance of ”Mrs. Guri of Edøy” is perfor- med in July. The Guri Centre has very special architecture made of untreated larch which will turn grey over time and a facade of Plexiglas. The centre is an attraction in itself with a spectacular panoramic view and a facade that lights up in a range of different colours after dark. Art Nouveau Centre and Art Museum KUBE Art Nouveau Centre is a national center for art nou- veau / Jugendstil. Here you can see the preserved interior of Pharmacy Garden from 1907. Botanical garden Svinvik arboretum is a botanical garden where you can fi nd 450 species of Rhododendrons, majestic cypress trees and exotic aromas in a fairytale like landscape garden.
