Now don’t chicken out on us, as we still need to tell you about David Ezra Stein’s Interrupting Chicken and the Elephant of Surprise (ISBN 9780763688424) in which the little red chicken is back, with homework. She’s just learned about something every good story should have: an elephant of surprise. Or could it be an element of surprise (as her amused papa explains)? Check out the trailer, with pop-up appearances from the author, here. We’ll let the authors introduce the next two listings, starting with M.T. Anderson and Eugene Yelchin discussing topics such as the goblins and elves that will be found in their new title, The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge (ISBN 9780763698225), which arrives in Spetember of this year. Always unconventional, these two award-winning creators have paired up for “an anarchic, outlandish, and deeply political saga.” View the trailer here.
