No. 4 VMI (17-112, 10-88 BSC) vs. No. 5 Winthrop (13-116, 9-99 BSC) In the midst of their Big South streak, VMI held four straight conference opponents to 74 points or less, winning each of those contests. Senior forward Reggie Williams scored 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds while freshman guard Austin Kenon nailed seven 3- point shots on his way to a career-high 25 points in the contest, as VMI secured its first road win of the year. The Keydets won their third straight and ended a four-game losing streak to the Tribe dating back to 1992. Meanwhile, VMI (6-55) vs. VMI also moved to 2-0 against Colonial Athletic Association foes this season and it marked the first time the Keydets RIchmond (5-66) had defeated two CAA teams in the same season since 1986-87. Sunday, Dec. 30; 6 p.m. With his 27 points against William & Mary, senior forward Reggie Williams moved into second on the Big South Robins Center career scoring list, surpassing Coastal Carolina’s Tony Dunkin.
