Over that period, the Eagles have nine Big South Conference championships, captured the Marquette Pepsi Blue and Gold Classic, the oldest continuing tournament in the country, along with nine NCAA tournament appearances, highlighted by the 2007 first-round victory over Notre Dame. No other Big South Conference school and few programs across the country can boast of the same success that Winthrop basketball has enjoyed since 1999.
