In the Bates Bulletin Oct 1924, Page 127 it has Clement, Joseph, Caleb, David, Jonathan and MOSES (6) who marr. Lucretia Olney June 7, 1789.

This Moses had a son # 251 vi. (7) Olney July 14, 1801, with no more info.

On a search we found that his name was Welcome Olney Bates born 1801, died 1868. Married Ann E James and had the following children. Thomas J. 1832- 1900, (8) Welcome Olney Jr. 1835-1906, Jonathan James 1837-1916, John Brown 1840-1887.

(8) Welcome Olney Bates Jr. married Mary E. Paine and they had (9) Malvin Paine Bates 1858-1947. Malvin Paine Bates had (10) Malvin Irving Bates 1887- 1961.
