Record Lending at Swan Credit Union Swan Credit Union lent a record £36,550 last month, more than any other month this financial year. Our average lending each month is just over £18,000 and the total lending so far for this financial year is £162,000. Last year Swan Credit Union made sufficient return on loans to enable us to pay a 1% dividend on members savings. This was the first of what we hope will be regular rewards to savers. Our most popular product is still the Child Benefit Savings and Loan plan. This year almost a third of our lending (some £50,000) was to members for Child Benefit Loans. Swan Credit Union is owned by its members and is free to join. It is mutual, not-for-profit and ethical, so for example there are no added fees or charges for repaying your loan early.

You can join online at www.swancreditunion.org.uk or contact us at 03030 300 147 or [email protected] for an application form.
