UNCW picked up its *Delaware 72, Drexel 66 fi rst CAA road win of the season with an 80-78 over me victory against an Elon squad that *Col. of Charleston 82, Northeastern 66 was undefeated at home. William & Mary rallied from a 9-point defi cit with 50 seconds *Hofstra 76, Towson 73 to go and beat James Madison, 89-82 in over me. Hofstra overcame a 10-point defi cit *William & Mary 89, James Madison 82 (ot) with 5:22 remaining and topped Towson, 76-73, on Jalen Ray’s 3-pointer at the buzzer. The January 7 victory ended the Tigers’ 14-game home winning streak. Of the 25 CAA games played thus *Delaware 96, UNCW 76 far, four have gone to over me and fi ve others have been decided by three points or less. *Towson 73, Col. of Charleston 62 *Northeastern 80, James Madison 67 W&M OFF TO BEST CAA START EVER: William & Mary is off to its best CAA start ever at *William & Mary 85, Drexel 63 5-0 a er rallying for an 89-82 over me victory against James Madison on Thursday. The *Elon 89, Hofstra 76 Tribe, which won three straight road games in a six-day period last week, surpassed the 4-0 start by the 1997-98 squad. TOPPING THE 1,000-POINT MARK: Five CAA players eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for their careers last week. Hofstra’s Rokas Gustys and UNCW’s Jordon Talley reached the milestone last Friday. Three players hit the 1,000-point mark in the same game on Sunday as Elon’s Dmitri Thompson and Tyler Seibring and Hofstra’s Jus n Wright-Foreman hit 1,000 in the contest between the Phoenix and Pride. HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: CAA teams are a combined 55-17 at home this season and also have 12 victories on neutral courts.
