IN OPENERS Rider is 4-4 in season openers under Head Coach Kevin Baggett, including wins in three of the last four years. Rider defeated Coppin State to open the 2019-20 season and, prior to a setback to UCF in 2018-19, defeated Hampton in consecutive season openers in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

MEET THE BRONCS, D-I TRANSFER EDITION Rider features a pair of NCAA Division I transfer guards in graduate stu- dent Rodney “Rocket” Henderson, Jr. (CSUN) and fellow Division I trans- fer Dwight Murray, Jr. (Incarnate Word). Both are immediately eligible. The Broncs became acquainted with Henderson when he scored 16 points on 7-of- 11 shooting against Rider in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic Mid-Major Championship Game on Dec. 23, 2018. Over his 31 games with the Matadors, Henderson averaged 10.0 points per game. Murray averaged 8.1 ppg. over two years at Incarnate Word, including 9.6 ppg. last season. His 87.6 percent (85-97) career connection rate from the free-throw line will be a welcome ad- dition. McQuarter, a 6-foot-7 guard, was a two-time NJCAA All-State and All-Conference selection at Hinds C.C.
