About 180 clubs and student organizations on campus met on Tower Lawn Tuesday to recruit SJSU students looking to get involved. Organization fair coordinator Lori Salazar said “This is just one event that we host so clubs can have the opportunity to table and let everyone know about their organization.” The event was hosted by Student Involvement, whose mission is to aid students in development, promote the diverse campus community and cultivate leadership roles on campus, according to Salazar. Groups ranging from religious to recreational reached out to curious students to try to get them involved. The gymnastics club, a co-ed team that works together collectively in order to enhance the skills of students at all levels, was one of the organizations present.
