his show is based on the fanciful story of “The Princess And The Pea”. It deals with (1) finding and discovering the strength within oneself and not Tlet others determine your future. You will also (2) witness a couple who is concerned that the Prince needs to marry SOON cause no one in the kingdom can wed until he does to solve their particular situation. And (3) see two people who fall in love with someone who feels the same no matter the obstacles or challenges from outside forces. Have you ever been in love and have everyone you know tell you to forget it? Did you follow your heart or listen to them? So, let us take you back to Medieval times when there were no cell phones, TV, Alexa or internet and just Kings and Queens, Knights and Ladies In Wait- ing, who will take you on a journey while the Minstrel narrates our story. Enjoy, —Bill Starr, Director

The pantheon of cult-status roles for WVLO include: the shady peddler, Ali Hakim, in Oklahoma; the self-proclaimed ladies’ man, Adolpho, in The Drowsy Chaperone; the irascible Bud Frump in How To Succeed...; and the refined Doris Miller in Damn Yankees. Other recent memorable roles have been Colonel Pickering in My Fair Lady (WCT), Roscoe Dexter in Singin’ In the Rain (BBB) and Venticelli in Amadeus (Hillbarn). Most recently she was seen on roller skates as Betty Blat in our production of Footloose. Last fall she portrayed Queen Victoria in Tabard Theater’s Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Crown Jewels, but she really doesn’t mind being demoted to a servant in this production. 17 How To Be a Great Audience

1. Please turn all cell phones, networked-watches and other electronic devices to the “OFF” position. 2. Please arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes prior to the announced curtain time of the performance. 3. Talking during a performance is very distracting to other audience members as well as to the performers. 4. Flash photography is not permitted as it poses a serious threat to the safety of the performers and is disruptive to other audience members. 5. Due to copyright laws, performance recordings are strictly prohibited. This includes audio and video recorders as well as cellular devices such as phones and tablets. 6. Patrons with very small children should sit near an aisle for easy evacuation should a child become restless. 7. Please ask an usher to show you where the restrooms are located. 8. Smoking is never allowed anywhere on the City of Saratoga grounds. 9. Please be considerate of patrons who have a sensitivity to strong perfumes and aftershaves and use a ‘softer touch’. If there is any way we can make your performing arts experience more enjoyable, please let an usher know. Thank you for supporting WVLO Musical Theatre Company’s live Broadway musicals.
