SimAUD continues to bring together top researchers and practitioners in the fields of architecture, urban design, urban planning, building science, visualization, and systems engineering, with the overarching goal of achieving a positive and lasting impact on society though the simulation-aided design of compelling and sustainable built environments. This year saw outstanding participation from the community: a record 103 abstracts were contributed; among these a record 63 manuscripts were completed and peer-reviewed, several of which featured accompanying data sets or videos; and a full program of 30 papers were ultimately accepted and included in the proceedings. Top international universities such as UCL, RMIT, the Technion, ETH Zurich, EPFL, SUTD, Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, Harvard, and many others are represented in the final program. Also prominently featured in the accepted works are design schools such as the Architectural Association and CITA, and design and engineering practices such as Thornton Tomasetti, Zaha Hadid Architects, LMN Architects, Populous, SOM, and Baumann Consulting. Ovaj rad opisuje funkcije i rad nekih od popularnijih dodataka, neki od kojih se zbog svoje snage koriste u filmskoj i gaming industriji. Na početku se ukratko priča o programu Autodesk Maya. Zatim se navode dodaci koje rad obraĎuje. Za neke je dodatke naveden i postepan tijek rada, kao i primjer rezultata što se njime može postići. Na kraju se usporeĎuju dodaci koji služe sličnoj svrsi. If the extensiveness of the functions or their strenght is not enough, it is possible to install many plugins that supplement Maya.

Here, using gained experiences, an alternative benchmarking solution is presented, which employs methods and tools obtained from the computer-game domain to create simulated video data with automatic annotations. Presented approach highly outperforms existing solutions in the size of the data and variety of annotations possible to create.

The objective of this thesis is to evaluate if one such tool is suitable for the implementation of more complex, intelligent behavior. The chosen Autodesk Maya plug-in Miarmy has been extended with multiple Python scripts to provide the agents with the ability of realistic pathfinding with obstacle avoidance. Additional features are the individualization of the agents, flight behavior near dangerous objects, as well as the ability to chase other agents. The decision logic has been tested in numerous scenarios to receive a visual feedback and to confirm the realistic behavior of the agents. While the model has limitations and there are problems with the used tool, the result is a working example, positively answering the central question.

However, creating high-performance crowd-simulations in a con- text with continually changing time-tables and gate locations is a complex prob- lem. In this thesis we propose a simulation system that handles a large number of simulated agents whose behavior is based on scheduled flight data. The system allows for the visualization of people flows and congestion, as well as the export of statistics to benchmark against a real machine operated counting system. Our solution combines modern game development technologies for controlling ambient characters and visualizing the environment, with traditional agent-based modeling methods. The simulation spawns human-like agents in the environment based on real (live) flight schedules and normally distributed behaviors. The system was applied at Arlanda Airport, the largest airport in Sweden, which is owned and operated by Swedavia AB. Swedavia has provided us with knowledge about their processes as well as given access to data sources with live information about flight departures from the airport.
