“Starsky & Hutch” Co-Stars David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser Reunite April 6, 2013 – Marina del Rey Marriott

Actors David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser, co-stars of the 1970s hit television series “Starsky & Hutch,” are together again in a rare appearance for a special tribute dinner in their honor to be held April 6, 2013, at the Marriott in Marina del Rey, California (Los Angeles area).

The event, dubbed "SurCon" by its producers Carolyn Peterson and Laura Moretti, is an intimate fan-based gathering that will feature a silent memorabilia auction, a casual meet-and-greet cocktail hour, a three-course dinner with the actors, and a viewing of “Survival” – a "Starsky and Hutch" episode directed by David Soul – followed by a question-and-answer session. Peterson and Moretti remain silent, however, about the additional surprises SurCon holds for both its attendees and the actors it honors, but they do hint that there will be a special musical guest.

Peterson and Moretti are, however, excited to announce two exclusive auctions that are also up for bid. One is a chance for two lucky fans to win a once-in-a-lifetime ride in a replicated Starsky & Hutch Gran Torino, supplied by Jay Leno's announcer and longtime fan of the series, Wally Wingert, with Glaser driving and Soul riding shotgun. The other is a chance for four fans to share a private breakfast with Soul and Glaser at Primitivo, a quaint Venice Beach restaurant that's located in the building used on the television show as Hutch's apartment.

Soul, who played Hutch, and who currently lives in London, has had a long-running career in acting, which spans nearly four decades and continues to this day. He appeared in such notables as “Magnum Force” with Clint Eastwood, in the TV series, “Here Come the Brides,” and in the television movie, “The FBI Murders,” as well as other numerous television and stage roles. Most recently, Soul appeared alongside actress Jerry Hall at the Gaiety Theater in Dublin, Ireland, for their reprised roles of A.R. Gurney's play, “Love Letters.” Soul is also an accomplished musician and singer, having had No. 1 hits with "Don't Give Up On Us" and "Silver Lady." Soul continues to perform both in musical concerts and for public readings of Chilean writer Pablo Neruda's poetry, a tribute that has become Soul's latest passion. Paul Michael Glaser, who played Starsky, appeared in the Jack Nicholson movie, “Something’s Gotta Give,” in the musical, “Fiddler on the Roof,” and in “The Great Houdini,” among numerous other acting roles in television. Glaser is also an established director; his credits include, but are not limited to, “The Cutting Edge,” “Running Man” (with Arnold Schwarzenegger), and, more recently, he directed and guest-starred in episodes of "The Mentalist" and "Criminal Minds."
