MEDIA ALERT – May 23, 2018 National Theatre Live’s Award-Winning Production, ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time,’ Hits U.S. Cinemas June 12 Only WHAT: By popular demand, Fathom Events, BY Experience and National Theatre Live bring “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” to the big screen as part of the National Theatre Live 2018 event cinema line-up. Captured live in 2012 from the National Theatre in London, this critically acclaimed production directed by Marianne Elliot (Angels in America, War Horse) has received seven Olivier and five Tony Awards®. This special event will play in movie theaters nationwide for one night on Tuesday, June 12. Based on the acclaimed novel by Mark Haddon, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” follows fifteen-year-old Christopher. He stands beside Mrs. Shears’ dead dog, which has been speared with a garden fork; it is seven minutes after midnight, and Christopher is under suspicion. Exceptionally smart, but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life, he has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, detests being touched and distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.
