We’ve been asked by DNPAO to create a new PA/ Prevention graphic. The graphic will be based on the attached “Obesity Cancer” image. The new graphic will highlight 8 instead of the 13 of the old graphic. But the general layout will be the same. Pro le cutaway of a . List of organs (cancer) pointing to their respective depiction in the body. There will also be a title and some additional text. All this will be listed below. We don’t have to follow the visual styles and colors of the attached graphic. We can put our own spin on how this looks.

This will be used as accompanying imagery on a website, or a presentation. It’s not going to be a standalone handout. Something akin to the Active People “measurement” graphic y’all developed. Please call me if you have questions about what CDC is asking for.

Breast Image Title

CDC suggested putting the text of a title in a “ribbon” (example attached).

Physical Activity Lowers Risk of Developing 8 Types of Cancer

Additional Text

CDC has asked to put the following text somewhere on the graphic. (The suggested bottom right, like in the example “health eects”.) As you’ll see, the list of the eight cancers is duplicative, IMO. We could modify the Colon language and not list the cancers again. Let meStomach know if y’all have suggestions to get the same information across without having to list the cancers twice.

Physical activity lowers your risk for developing several commonly occurring cancers. Research shows that adults who participate in greater amounts of physical activity have reduced risks of developing cancers of the:

August 2020 Active People Design Element

CDC has asked to place the Active People design element on the bottom of the graphic. They suggested bottom left.
