The Order will commence on 28 June 2018 and will last for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that all works will be completed on or before 30 September 2018. Please Note: The dates as indicated in the schedule are estimated dates and may be subject to change i.e. inclement weather or other mitigating circumstances. All closures will be indicated by signage – advance signage will be in place as appropriate. Pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible. A Bill (hereinafter called "the Bill") has been introduced into and is now pending in your honourable House intituled "A Bill to make provision for a railway between Euston in London and a juncfion with the West Coast Main Line and Handsacre in Staffordshire, with a spur from Old Oak Common in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to a junction with the Channel Tunnel Rail Unk at York Way in the London Borough of Islington and a spur from Water Orton in Warwickshire to Curzon Street in Birmingham; and for connected purposes". 2.     NORTH LEAMINGTON SCHOOL ADMISSIONS POLICY SEPTEMBER 2022 ENTRY NLS September 2022 Entry NLS –Admissions Policy (September 2022 entry) North Leamington School became an academy on 1 November 2016 and the admission authority for North Leamington School is the academy trust - “North Leamington School”. The trust is also responsible for arranging an independent appeal against refusal of a place at the school. The trust must act in accordance with admissions legislation and the School Admissions Code. Purpose of this Policy The purpose of the Policy is to ensure that places at North Leamington School are allocated and offered in an open and fair way in accordance with the School Admissions Code. Applying for a place A parent can apply for a place for their child at any state-funded school.     LGBCE Review of Warwick District Council Ward Boundaries Warwick District Council Submission on Warding Arrangements 1.0 Introduction 1.1 This submission is made on behalf of Warwick District Council and is based upon the decision of the Council’s Licensing & Regulatory Committee on 11 January 2018. 1.2 This Council has a fundamental principle that wherever reasonably practicable the Electoral Boundaries should be coterminous, but in doing so they should meet the criteria for electoral equality, the interests and identities of local communities and should promote effective and convenient local government 1.3 Having considered this the Council believes that the proposal it has outlined in this submission meets the criteria for the review and would provide an approach that would best meet the needs of the local communities within Warwick District. 1.4 To achieve this outcome, the Council is proposing 20 Wards with a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 Councillors to represent each Ward to give electoral equality but also to recognise the individual communities within the District. 2.0 Delivering electoral equality for local voters 2.1 The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) has accepted the methodology for local elector growth within Warwick District from 109,855 in September 2017 to 123,333 in 2023. Following the decision by the LGBCE to set the Council size at 44, this provides an elector to councillor ratio in 2023 of 2803 to each Councillor. 2.2 The proposal from this Council works on a principle of coterminous boundaries across the District except for a few exceptions, to improve electoral equality within the towns of Leamington and Warwick.

Bob Robinson has lived in Wappenbury since 1964 and celebrated his 100th birthday on 15th September 2016, although he says ‘there’s nothing to celebrate in getting older’! Bob worked on farms all his life, following in his father’s footsteps. He moved from Scotforth near Lancaster with his family in 1928 to Staffordshire, then got his first job as farm manager to shipping heir Lady Rosamund Mary Harrison, in Maer. He remembers Maer Hall, run by a large staff of maids, cooks, the butler and footmen as well as the farm manager, shepherds and herdsmen at the farm.

It was accompanied by demonstrations, interventions and performances, and marked the irruption of political protest in the public sphere in a way that changed culture, thinking and policy. Recent events have seen a resurgence of the popular voice (as evidenced variously, for instance, in the outcomes of the Brexit referendum, the US and French presidential elections, events in Catalonia, and the Hindutva political narrative in India). They have been accompanied by a sense of crisis concerning civic and political process, and the galvanising of radical public protest of different kinds. In view of the fiftieth anniversary of les événements and the various socio-political actions of 1968, this symposium asks what we can learn from these events. It considers what resonance 1968 has for contemporary political movements, how ‘the public’ engages with political process in current scenarios, and the extent to which popular protest, performative intervention and the public sphere are intertwined today. It also examines how civic and political change come about. What difference does protest make, and how does it get performed in specific political contexts? The symposium programme includes a visit to Trying It On at Warwick Arts Centre, the world premiere of a solo show written and performed by David Edgar.

Our March meeting was held in Eathorpe Village Hall and we invited the Off- church Afternoon Club to join us. We enjoyed a talk by Duncan Brown on the history of the very successful Pilgrim Puppets. We then had a demonstration with Duncan, Hazel and Marcia showing us how these clever puppets work. As always a very enjoyable tea and for our April meeting we are going to see “Cats” at the Spa Centre. HUNNINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL is looking for two new parish councillors. What does the role of parish councillor involve? This is a voluntary role whose main purpose is to represent the views of the residents within the parish. Other purposes include deciding how much to raise by way of precept in order to deliver the council's services, helping to influence and shape any long term development in the parish, commenting on planning applications, identifying issues that are important to the resi- dents of the parish, working to bring about improvements through local pro- jects, lobbying other service providers and working in partnership with other parishes and agencies.
