Érase una vez un tiempo en el que semejante universo se consideraba poco usual y, posiblemente, imposible. Pero claro, es que en los tiempos de érase una vez las cosas eran más sencillas. This report includes information on revenue, award payments, research funding, promotional spending and operational improvements made during the past year. The performances of registered New York-breds on racetracks and in sales pavilions, as well as the expansion of farms during the past year, demonstrate that the Fund is accomplishing its mission to “support by monetary incentives the responsible breeding of quality Thoroughbred racehorses in keeping with the founding legislation to preserve New York’s irreplaceable farm land.” The award programs administered by the Fund are demonstrably encouraging people to breed, buy and race our home-grown product. The Fund is a pass-through organization that collects revenue from the racing industry and sends a minimum of 91% of that revenue back to stakeholders in the form of agricultural awards, purse enrichment for NY-breds and support for equine research. -

FOREWORD Volume III of the Bulgarian Stud Book of Thoroughbred horses contains the information about the pedigrees and a summary of the breeding activity for the period of 2010- 2013 including. The breeding activity data has been obtained on the basis of the documentation of the stud farms in the country. The reliabilty of the origin of the born foals is confirmed through a DNA test from GeneControl GmbH – Germany. The Bulgarian Stud Book has been compiled in accordance with the requirements of the International Stud Book Committee (ISBC). In compliance with the requirements of the ISBC, the information about the horses has been presented in (?) sections. Each section contains specific information and the necessary data about the horses. The Bulgarian Stud Book starts with the rules and regulations for registering Thoroughbred horses in the Republic of Bulgaria. For all horses registered in the present volume, after their name the suffix of the country in which they are born and identified. The registration of the imported stallions and mares is on the basis of export certificates issued by the country from where they have been imported. -
